After reading the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive. However, all my fears were put to rest when I put it to a bench test and it cranks. This was purchased for my car that has no radio, along with a Bluetooth device with headphone jack to power my car speakers. It's a small amp, but if that's all you need, this is perfect !!!

PROS: small footprint, budget friendly, great soundCONS: despite some claims it still requires adequate air flow to remain coolThe application is to power an OEM dual coil 7" subwoofer pulled from another car and placed in the trunk of my daily driver sedan. I'm using and aftermarket head end with line-outs for the subwoofer function. I wasn't looking for anything too big as I needed my trunk space, small as it is but adequately insulated, and I didn't need to heard coming a mile away. Installation was a breeze. I did have to drill mounting holes under the deck but then it came together quickly. All connections are pretty straightforward (if you know, you know). I have the head end set to drive the mid-range door speakers directly (4 of them in standard stereo pairs) with a HPF of 83Hz and max 50W per channel. Lower frequencies makes the door metal panels rattle too much. The sub woofer stereo line outs is set with the LPF function to 120Hz and under. Nominal impedance of the dual coil sub is 2 ohms each wired separately for both of the amp's stereo outputs. The woofer along with amp are all in the trunk with enough insulation to prevent car body rattling. The final sound is better than I expected. Tuning wasn't very hard, a little work for the filter settings but the effort is rewarding and really pays off. You couldn't pay an installer to do better than you like to hear it. Despite some claims of being compact enough for fully enclosed installation, I would not recommend it. This unit can still get hot, especially in the summer time, and it needs ambient airflow for cooling. Would definitely need fans for tight spaces. I never got it hot enough to distort in my trunk but YMMV if you're seeking to put this under the seats or in the console.

Have the riot 200W in a 2010 streetglide fairing powering 2x Kicker D series 6.5" on a stock head unit. It was just to test stuff because of its size, but ended up being well enough to keep. Have had in for about a year no problems. plenty of power for 2 speakers. good Sound quality. Small enough to fit in the fairing. keeps up with my dads 3k$ 4 speaker all Rockford Fosgate system with Cerwin Vegas (quality and volume-i do a lot with audio). 4/5 stars because of an ever so slight hum only noticeable when the bike is off and in accy. Would buy again, really wasnt expecting this to be a keeper for the price point.

This amp is a pos!!! Do not buy it!! It worked good for highs for a week and stop working!!

This little puts out great power for your highs! Small and compact! Best $40 I’ve spent lol

Tengo una bocina skar audio 12 de 600 watts rms, conecte los 2 bobinas en paralelo para así lograr los 2 ohms y sacar todo lo que ofrece este amplificador, y no logra mover con mucha fuerza está bocina, parece como si estuviera entregado alrededor de 250-300 watts como máximo a 2 ohms, por el mismo precio es mejor buscar en otro lado donde encontrarás amplificadores con 400 rms reales, este te lo garantizo que no llega ni a 300, en finsi lo quieres para algo como acompañar un subwoofer con los parlantes de el estéreo de tu coche me parece bien, si se empareja, pero si tienes un amplificador de 350x4 para medios y altos tenlo por seguro que se va a quedar muy corto, asta aquí con mi reseña!

K the first one I got scared me , it was malfunctioning rca and high power. They sent me another one and it feels heavier , looks darker and sounds amazing. No whining. No distortion I left my set up the same so the amp which I returned today with 2 other things and kept receipt because they are careless at staples, anyway just to make sure it wasn’t me. Yay

I bought this 1600 watt amp this year in April.It started glitching out in November. I called the manufacturer (BOSS) here to see if I could get a replacement. They wanted screenshots of my purchase and order number via email.Passing those simple phases their next request was for me to Destroy my existing one and send them pictures of it. 😳I called them to confirm and so I did and they emailed me that a new or refurbished one was leaving Oxnard California, tracking code through fed ex and 4 days later I had a brand new amplifier.Back in business! 👍They back up their word.I slightly think my original amp might have started glitching on my end because I originally installed amp on sub box to save space.Which can rattle components within the amp more than it should. Learning curve for me but Boss took care of me and I appreciate them and this affordable amp.Thank you.
