And you cannot passthrough the mini sas ports to vm in vsphere. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by B***. on 30 January 2020* Motherboard was shipped from Nspire; I received a version 2.0 board with BIOS 2.0a. The minisas-HD breakout cables where not included, but I was expecting that, as this appears to be an OEM package. You can find the cables on Amazon or the 'bay. You'll need them if you want to hook up more than 8 SATA drives. I had a lot of trouble with a prior super-micro board - the dual socket EYPC platform. This one posted on the first attempt. It did take about 30 seconds to show the screen on the first boot. Specs: MB: MBD-H11SSL-I-O CPU: AMD EPYC 7452 Ram: 256 GB; 32x8 at 2666 mhz. Running ESXI 6.7u3. I had zero issues updating the BIOS to 2.0b and the Ipmi firmware to 1.52. Note however that I used the ipmi interface to do this; otherwise, I believe you need to use the UEFI shell. Issues: 1) The MB did not like my Noctua NF-P14s. It keep spinning them up and down. I gave up and went into ipmi and set the fans to max, instead of tweaking the thresholds. 2) I got confused by ipmi not finding my Samsung 970 EVO SSD NVMe, and thought I had somehow installed the drive wrong. Well, that's because its not on the supported hardware list and so won't report it's temperature. Everything else was fine, so chalk that one up to user error. All in all, this is a pretty nice board.
