Great value and great ID scanner...
We bought this to replace a recently purchase piece of junk ID scanner. This one is easy to install and works exactly as needed. We have had it for over three months now and it still works well. We are using it in our medical office and scanning 20-30 IDs per day with no issues. So far this is the best ID scanner that we have had and hope it will be the last one purchased for a long time. I cannot give a rating for tech support because we haven't needed to contact them for any reason.

It is the recommended scanner to our system and worked fine. The only thing it is very sensitive about cleaning

Life saver
In this Covid 19 season this has stopped the patients from handing me their cards. I try to limit the exchange of items between myself and them. The scan is clear, fast and easy. Fits perfect on the shelf in from of my plexiglass window. Small and compact but I would highly recommend.

Poorly designed and does not work well
The scanner is so light that it moves when the scanned document cannot be ejected freely. As a result the image becomes compressed on one side.

Nice scanner with terrible software
The scanner is fine and does a good job. The software the comes with it is second-rate at best. Duplex requires their software. If you scan to pdf, it saves as both jpg and pdf, so you have to clean it up later.

Nice Size but Software could be better
I bought this for duplex scanning of insurance cards. The calibration sheet was too big and I had to cut it down to size. The duplex only works only if you use Ambir's program - which didn't register with XP as a default scanner. Ambir's program worked but didn't seem well integrated with the OS. Also the Duplex scan produced two files (one for front, one for back) - I wanted a single file with front and back!Unfortunately I had to use another standard scanner driver with my software and it didn't support the duplex scan (even when I selected duplex mode) - defeating the entire point of getting a duplex scanner.I think the hardware is a nice package and seems well built, but the Dulpex software support is another story.

office time saver
Had a previous version that stopped working, thus the need to save time at checkin getting health insurance cards into the record.. this little thing even duplexes.. saves photocopying each side of the card then scanning that sheet into the record.. So I save on office personnel as well as copy paper and toner..
