Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Brilliant book - the best Windows 10 book that I have bought by far - I am another of those who reluctantly "upgraded" from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (at great expense) and couldn't see any benefit. I bought a couple of Windows 10 books which were disappointing. Then I bought this one and I am absolutely delighted with it! It is well written, and gives answers to questions I wouldn't have thought of asking. Every time I open the book, I discover something useful, a bit more knowledge, or some trick to make life with a Windows 10 PC that little bit easier and less frustrating. I have bought plenty of books over the years for various versions of Windows, and I can honestly say this is the best one by far. Review: Bought as a gift... - ...well received. A new AIO computer put my Dad into a tail spin as it came loaded with Windoze 10. He was well into the comfort zone that the several day wait for Win7 to boot awarded. Win10 was up and running before he had his glasses on. This book saved the day and now he is the delay in his operating system as it takes hours for him to find the reference in the book. Sometimes modern tech is not the step forward many believe.

this is more like it
David Pogue's work is the real thing...unlike the cheaply produced rubbish from Amazon Fulfillment (?) in Poland...cheaply produced (anonymous) publications by hopelessly inadequate "authors" only serve to cheapen the reputation of all publishers. as I work through a list of other books, I'll let you know which are up to scratch. you really need to build a panel of experienced technicians who can point up the good books like this one and reject the others that are wholly unsatisfactory. all books should be pictured alongside familiar objects to show their size and the number of pages made clear...top tip, don't try and produce these technical manuals yourselves and/or with unknown authors...you're being short-changed just as we are!

Must Have for all Windows 10 Users
Essential book for anybody using Windows 10. Microsoft help is very brief at best, this book got me out of trouble very quickly, dive into it whenever you are stuck everything you need to know is in there. Highly recommended.

No Colour Pictures!
Bought as an aid to upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7. Obviously the author knows his stuff, although perhaps I would have been better buying a less in-depth publication. Biggest criticism are the black & white off-screen pictures which would have been much easier to follow in colour. I was also somewhat miffed by the author's attitude to those of us who want to upgrade, as he seems to think a new computer is necessary to run Win 10 and makes disparaging remarks about anything more than a couple of years old. Well, my computer is 6 years old, but it cost me £2,000 in 2013, so is still higher spec than most modern computers. So, there!

handy reference book
I have just changed to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Profession so thought a reference book was needed. I've only been using Windows 10 for a week but I think this will be a handy point of reference over the years.

Well laid out, easily understood
A thick book, with many informative pages inside. Cover everything you would want to know about Windows 10. Excellent as a reference guide, all very easily understood, A very worthwhile purchase.

Easy to read and understand.
Having bought "Windows 7 - The Missing Manual" I had high hopes for this. Not as in depth as I had hoped for but still an easy read and covers the majority of topics I wanted information on.

Call me old school but I like manuals and this one is great, well organized, easy to read, has humour and lots of useful tips. Been struggling with Windows 10 for a year now. On line help often useless and outdated.
