5 Starr Super Valve Oil, Clear

I've been using this oil for a year and a half now. It was recommended by Dr. Valve who refurbished my Schilke valves and horn. He said he likes it because it protects the valves. I like it too. No smell. Lasts a day or two without evaporating. Feels fast enough. Not heavy, thick, slow, like another brand I had to use before my valve-job. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I wouldn't have tried it if not for Dr. Valve including a bottle with my Schilke B5L. Works great in my 1974 Yamaha flugel too

Got my hubby a used trumpet for Christmas, and the valves were completely STUCK. He even tried gently pounding them out w/ a dowel rod and rubber mallet. He used a few drops of this and let it sit for a couple of days, and voila! Now hubby doesn't play it, our 3 year old does and the house is filled with beautiful music............ NOT! Would recommend it if you want your valves unstuck. If you have a toddler, I'd just leave them stuck. :)

Having used a host of different valve oils over 40 years 5 Starr is hands down the best! Where I find it at it's best is in hot and humid weather!

I have had no problems with this oil. So far it has kept my valves moving freely. For me it has been a good oil.I do admit that I have not played much on the trumpet with this oil. But I have had no problems with it.God Bless, and with love.

Someone that knows recommended this to me years ago. There other good oils out there but this is at the top of the list. Seems to work for all of my horns.

Best I've used to date. Better than Al Cass and Blue Juice in my opinion.

I've got a very expensive custom trumpet and this came with it. It is great so far.
