The first thing you need to know about this review is that who is this coming from. I have been an audio equipment enthusiast since the age of 8 when I tore apart our beloved Philips Cassette player and added cheap tweeters to it to get more "clarity" in the sound. I have been reading, auditioning, experimenting with almost all budget brands and I have more often than not found out that price does not always determine the quality of a product. I have auditioned a $2000 Grado headphone, and the sound wasn't as impressive as a Ground Zero headphone which I purchased for around $50 - nothing to take away from Grado, it was a great headphone but the sound wasn't nearly as "real" as GZ (GZ has only ever produced that one headphone by the way!). To me, the people behind the product matter as much as the product itself, not the brand as much. That is why I have an Audiotec-Fischer setup in my car, not JBL or Sony. I just cannot compromise on quality of sound. It's not Brax because that's a very high price point for me. Cut to Marshall Kilburn II, which I received this morning after waiting for 62 days, owing to the lockdown. As soon as I opened the package, I could see "Estd. 1962". Beneath that was a neatly wrapped speaker which is the highlight and just the charging cable - that's it. I don't usually bother with product manuals unless I get in trouble and the internet can't solve it, in which case the manual is pretty redundant anyway. So, I turned on the 30% default charged speaker, placed it on a table top, connected it to my phone within 10 seconds (yes, it's that fast even for the first time), played my favourite song, and was instantly satisfied, not blown away, but satisfied. Then I placed on a shelf in the kitchen, and cranked up the volume a little and fiddled with the bass and treble controls to suit myself. This is where I was blown away. How does one fit so much sound in so little, yet make it sound so clean. As I write this review, I'm playing lossless media on it via Aux, and it sounds even better. It's like it can perform on every level. Maybe I'll get an A&K Kann sometime and see for myself. My point being it sounds as good as the source, which is the true test of a speaker. During this course, I have played Metal, Pop, Jazz, Indian Classical, Rock, Hard Rock and Folk music on it, and it's at home with all these genres. Everything about this speaker is high quality - The sound, materials, build, design, connectivity, and yes, the knobs. If you need an amazing speaker which is built as good as it sounds, lasts 20 hours on a single charge, looks stunningly classic, easy to carry around while you can manage a small hole in your pocket, I see no reason not to go for this.

Killburn II is by far the best in this range.
From dark techno nights to bass-heavy dubstep and slow, mellow mornings, this speaker has been with me through every mood. Performance -wise, it’s the finest I’ve ever come across. The sound is rich, balanced, and effortlessly powerful—exactly what you’d expect from Marshall, yet somehow still exceeding it. The name carries weight, but here the bass, clarity, and warmth speak louder than the logo. I wasn’t looking for hype; I was looking for something timeless. Friends suggested the Bose SoundLink, but I wanted a piece that felt vintage, classic—something with character. This one delivered that in both form and sound. It doesn’t just play music, it sets a tone. Battery life comfortably stretches beyond 20 hours, no exaggeration. Connectivity is seamless, and the ability to pair two devices at once makes it even more convenient. The only small wish? Type-C charging and dedicated playback controls—if they can be added without disturbing its iconic, old-school charm. This is hands down the GOAT in its range. My first speaker bought with my own money, and it feels personal. Safe to say, I’m not going back to any other brand—unless it’s for a full home setup. Some purchases just stick with you. This is one of them.

Marshall is just awesome!
Absolutely love this Marshall speaker. The sound clarity is excellent with rich bass and crisp highs, making it a joy to listen to across all genres. The build quality feels premium, and the overall performance easily justifies the brand reputation. Truly an ultimate product and a great choice for anyone looking for powerful, high-quality sound. Battery life is exactly as mentioned in the description. East to connect and it is very easy to use.

A Wonderful Product
A good product. This is my second Marshall product. It does the job done for people who appreciates good music. Although the sound output could have been a notch better.. @50% on the volume knob, in a big sized living room, it will feel inadequate. However if you want to place it in a big bedroom, it will perform better. The battery life is so far so good. Portable. Light weight. Easily paired. This speaker does not have the Marshall Mobile App connectivity. All in all. A good buy 👌👌

Wrong Purchase
Stopped working in couple of weeks. Literally no support from seller. Dont buy. Go for Bose or JBL.A support company provides service in India and you will wait for hours without anyone picking up phone.

Best product for quality music lovers
It was worth buying the kilburn ll product, the sound quality is awsome. Make you feel that you have got a best product. Only thing i felt was missing is the product package should have a cloth cover /case to take care when not in use. But the overall product is worth to buy 👍

Superb speaker
An awesome Bluetooth speaker. Superb sound that you wouldn’t think would be possible from something so small. Now it doesn’t come cheap but its quality and craftsmanship commands the premium similar to top phone and automobile brands. Loud sound to fill a large sitting room. Works wire free once charged. Great sound clarity. Its a marked improvement from the earlier Kilburn and worth going for this model. Pro tip.. watch the prices and strike a deal during shopping days /lightning deals on Amazon for a lower pinch to your wallet. I don’t usually listen to my music too loud and with a low to medium volume setting, the battery lasts about 5 days and 3-4 hours of playtime per day on a single full charge. Its got fast charging too, but I prefer a full charge and then disconnect for portability. The charging plug isn't great though and surprisingly light and takes some adjustments to plug into the wall socket. Coming to sound quality, movies sound fantastic through this speaker. You can also hear the lyrics of songs better than on a cheaper speaker and there is a certain melodious and pleasantness to the output, though instrument separation is not at the same level of an audiophile speaker system. 60s/ 70s rock on this speaker is awesome! Coming to the design, it's very light at under 3 kg and the water resistance gives you confidence to take it outside occasionally. Its not water proof, but resistant only. The looks are classic and the red under Carry strap looks nice. Knobs on top have a good feel and make a big difference to the sound output. A solid buy if you can get over the initial price hurdle. You get heritage, quality, great sound, good Bluetooth connectivity all in a small convenient practical package!
