Philippe Starck has created speakers reflecting his genius and personality, exclusively for Parrot. Their stunning, ultra-modern sculpted shape incorporates advanced technology that delivers and intense and poerful sound with spectacular clarity. The speakers have been designed for compatibility with your iPhone or latest generation of iPod/Touch. Bluetooth technology allows you to enjoy the speakers without the fuss of messy speaker wire. Along with Wi-Fi technology, it allows you to stream your music directly from your computer to the speakers.

Don't buy. And if you must then it's a good paper weight!
Most regretted purchase. The Bluetooth connectivity is intermittent. The wifi connectivity is an impossible to execute function. The construction is so flimsy that it is like it needs to be tended to like a 3 month old baby. One of my twin speakers literally snapped in two. And the less said about the manufacturer the better - the Parrot websites speaks of products from headphones to drones to robots but not a word abt the Zikmu speaker. It's like they wanted to distance themselves from any connection with this product.

Beautiful looking as well as sound considering how much space ...
Absolutely sleek shape. Beautiful looking as well as sound considering how much space they take. It's perfectly matching modern design furniture. They are not for everyone but definitely a good choice as part of modern life, just like Bang & Olufsen.

Awsome Sounding !!
I purchased these speakers from Amazon a few days ago. The sound is nothing less than spectacular. When I setup the speakers there is not a lot to do. Just plug each speaker into the electric outlet, touch the power button and you are ready to go. I tried playing from my ipod using the Bluetooth connection, but it sounded delayed, stopped and started over and over, I couldn't take it anymore, so I just set it in the dock on the speaker and it works and sounds like a champ. The remote control is simple enough use. The sound is soft, I hear more instruments and sounds in the music, I can't tell you why, but it is great. and you can feel the air move when the volume is high. Bottom line, I would buy these ipod speakers again without hesitation.

Great sound & Beautiful design!

Brilliant... for those with extra cash
Zero bugs with my Mac. Nice sound, though obviously not ultra high end. What you're paying for is flexibility (outdoor use for parties in nice weather) and exquisite design. These are not for people on tight budgets.

Run Away!
What this system has going for it is its beauty. Unfortunately, for the price you pay, you'll be sorely disappointed with the sound quality. I have a $300 Bose system that sounds much better. Further, although you may be one of the lucky ones, I had a lot of problems getting the unit to work - first at all and then it would only work with certain sources. The manual and the website aren't very helpful either when it comes to troubleshooting. The main and most important reason this gets only 1 star is the very poor sound quality you get for a very large price. You could easily build a spectacular 5.1 component system for the price or even for less. So, if you're into pretty furniture and don't care much about sound and ease of use, this may work out for you. Everybody else, beware! An addendunm: After returning this item I purchased the B&W Zeppelin for around $600. It has awesome sound and sports the "modern" look as well. Take a look at the reviews for the B&W before you buy this. You won't be disappointed.

Good looks/so-so sound
Okay, the look is cool, but as someone who has been trying different ways to have wireless sound, I want the whole thing: beauty and brains, so to speak. At the moment, the mighty B&O A9 is my favorite solution, so I was curious to see how the Parrot Design product would stand up. When you unpack the Zikmu's, you'll probably love the modern, high-tech look, and the promise of a fairly powerful 50WPC integrated amplifier sounds good. The speakers have some heft to them and seem to be well constructed, and indeed, the mass suggests something of a high end speaker awaiting. Unfortunately, the Parrot Zikmu didn't quite live up to my expectations. The speakers have an integrated Apple 30-pin connector, and if you have an iPhone/iPod with this connector, you can use the Zikmu as an iPhone dock that will even charge your phone. Note that the iPhone 5 uses a different connector, so you'll need an adapter to connect to the Zikmu...it still works, but not as cleanly. Likewise, if your music sits on an iPad, you can probably make the dock work, but it looks rather clumsy. There are several wireless options supported, from DLNA and uPNP - both WiFi - to Bluetooth. For Android believers, NFC (Near-Field Communications) is also supported, but not having an NFC phone, I couldn't verify how well this works. Curiously missing is Apple's AirPlay standard, but honestly, there are more than enough alternatives that this shouldn't be a problem. Zikmus can also be controlled using the iPhone/iPad app, and this gives you a lot of fine-grained control over the sound settings. Then there's the sound quality. To be brief, if you're used to true high-end sound, you probably won't be too impressed with the Zikmu. The sound is "slow" and heavy, with muddy bass and little ability to seriously engage the listener. My B&O A9 has an open, airy and yet powerful sound...yes, it's close to twice the price, but the sound seems many, many times better. The Parrot Zikmu might be fine for background music while you're doing something else, but not so much for those times when you really want the topnotch sonic experience. Also, although billed as "wireless", no device with an integrated 50W amp is truly wireless - at very least, it has to be plugged in to a power source. Given this, I'm not so sure I'd sacrifice sound quality just to be able to beam music directly from my mobile device. For instance, I can get much the same effect with any conventional AV receiver having built-in wireless. For about the same money, you can buy an inexpensive (but high quality) Denon, Yamaha or equivalent amp that comes with AirPlay, plus, say, a pair of Definitive Technology BP10 speakers...it's still wireless from your mobile device, and you still need the same number of wires going to each speaker - but the sound quality is night and day different. In the end, I decided that for the price, I wasn't going to keep the Zikmu. Not to say it's a bad product - but there are better ways to skin the cat at this price point.

Absolute trash speakers. Don't waste your time and money.
Sure they look pretty, but when they work (rarely), the sound is pretty ordinary, especially for the money you are spending. I have had mine for three years. Gift from a good friend, otherwise I would have returned them. The WiFi never worked correctly and would drop out constantly. The software does not perform as promised and interferes with other PC audio software. And finally, when I used it with plain speaker wire from my stereo, it emits a loud buzzing sound. And Parrot supplies no technical support. You can stay on their technical support helpline forever and nobody picks up on your call. The automatic recorded message tells you to use their online service. I tried this. I have received no response!Do not buy this product. It is awful
