Perfect for my needs
Great little HUB that worked first time I plugged it in. Full data speed was achieved, and it never backed down (Flash-to-flash transfer). Mounted and unmounted items quickly in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. For Linux users (Specifically Linux Mint 10 (Julia) 64-bit), it doesn't alert you that it's mounted and working, but it does mount and work just fine. I'm fairly sure the reaction would be the same in most other Linux distros. For hackers and modders, the PCB is really small but well built, and can be made less than one-third of an inch thick by removing the ports, and soldering directly to the voltage and data tabs. I suspect a multi-layered PCB is being used, so trim the board at your own risk. One note I'll make is that the cord is short. Only about eleven and a quarter inches. Fine for a laptop, but might pose issues with some desktop applications. Not a big enough problem to dock a star, plus it doesn't effect me anyways. Just thought I'd let you know.

DOA but Support Send New Working One
I received my order and it did not work out at all. But they have great customer support. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement quickly at no cost without having to send in the old one. The new one works as advertised. Very happy. I ordered because my wireless mouse and keyboard were not always responding to the dongles behind my desktop that I use as a media center on a TV across the room. This product allowed the dongles to be more out in the open and my device inputs now respond perfectly.

A simple solution to squeeze one more device onto your computer
I've plugged both my keyboard and mouse into this in order to free up a USB slot, and I have not noticed any drop in responsiveness. UPDATE 2015.12.26 This USB splitter is still working great, although on extremely *rare* occasions (I can probably count on one hand how many times) the computer didn't respond to any keyboard input at bootup, even though the lights on the keyboard were on. The simple solution was to unplug and replug the keyboard or the splitter, and then everything worked all right. I don't know if the splitter was at fault, or if it's because my old Logitech mouse might be going bad, or because my Microsoft keyboard doesn't like the fact that I'm using a competitor's mouse. In any case, I'm still quite satisfied with this USB splitter. On the product page there is literature and there are comments stating that you shouldn't connect multiple data storage devices (that aren't self-powered) to this USB splitter for various reasons. I have not tried to use it for data transfer, and personally I would recommend against even trying since USB splitters/hubs, which don't have their own external power supplies, tend to drop power to one storage device while transferring data to/from another storage device. This kind of behavior has the potential to damage storage devices, or at the very least annoyingly disconnect and reconnect them repeatedly (complete with operating system notifications).

Nice hub that lets you aim the ports in whatever direction you need them
This 2-port hub is nice for when you run out of USB pots and you need just one more. Works great with my laptop, I like how the unit has its own cable so I can position the hub in whatever direction I need it to be - not just sicking out from the side of my laptop like other one-piece hubs out there.

This review is related to audiophile use only
The iPhone 6 plus and iPad Air 2 are fantastic audio devices that have access to numerous music apps. The only issue is that if you have a fancy, non powered Digital to Analog Converter (DAC), you usually can't use it with the iPhone 6 plus or iPad Air 2 without hooking up battery packs and splitters. In the past, there was something called a T3HUB made by Dr Botts that would trick your iPhone into thinking it was getting enough power from the device and it would allow the iPhone to send audio to your headphones. Unfortunately, the T3hub is no longer available and Dr Botts is out of business. I decided to give the Plugable a try. The way it works is that you hook the Appel Camera Connection Kit (CCK) to the iPhone's Lightning port and then you plug the Plugable into the CCK. Then you take a USB DAC (I use a Dragonfly DAC) into the Plugable and hook the headphones to the DAC. For this purpose, with this exact setup, I was able to get audio to my headphones in both 44.1Khz and 96khz signals. This was exactly what I was looking for! I have attached a picture that shows it working with my setup. (If you have no idea what I am talking about in this post, don't worry, it is only for audiophiles looking for this exact solution).

It's a usb hub
Got this little guy to act as something of an antenna, not by extending the signal but by getting the dongles in range. I think we've been using it daily for a couple years now and the only complaint is that it can occasionally be difficult to find. Quite satisfied and would buy again. P.S. it's only been used as mouse and keyboard dongle or the occasional doghouse for puppy linux, I've never tried large transfers and cannot attest to speed or efficacy. I can say that it handled booting puppy, running webrowsers, streaming 1080 netflix and flash games just fine but I don't know how much the connections involved at that point. Never had issues with puppy installing slowly or failing to install ram either

Con altri prodotti ho avuto problemi di connessione dopo qualche minuto di funzionamento (Android), con questo no !

Works great. Perfect if you want to use an external DAC with an iphone/ipad. It does not need to be powered externally as well and draws power from the ipad.
