Love the smooth sound, volume control, schedule function, and Bluetooth.Because it's making a smooth sound instead of playing a recording, you never have to worry about noticing a looping effect.Volume control is great, because while I usually use it at a mild volume for sleeping, I sometimes blast it to help me drown out noise during the day if I need to concentrate on work.The schedule function is one of the reasons I bought it since it automatically goes on and off at the times you program it. Going on at a set time is great to encourage healthy getting to sleep habits right at the start of when I should be getting ready to sleep. And, turning off at a certain its programed is great for encouraging consistent waking times for better sleep habits.The most surprisingly useful function is the Bluetooth connectivity. I never thought I would use the Bluetooth, but I use it all the time. Imagine being in bed when you're too tired to get up and turn on the noise if you want an early sleep night or too tired to get up and turn it off because you need to hear someone outside your bed asking for you. With the Bluetooth connectivity, I can and do adjust matters without even getting up.I am happy I got this product.

Very easy to use and great sound output. Others have described having connection issues but even after using this unit for months, I have had no issues so far. The wireless volume control is super handy and being able to change the pitch of the sound is amazing. I have the unit on basically 24/7 and it's still chugging along no problem. Only thing I've noticed is a small low-pitch clicking noise when the unit is running at extremely low speeds. This doesn't surprise me as it works by spinning a small fan inside and leaving any fan on all day will eventually cause the motor to make a little noise. I also don't see a reason to be at such low volume levels anyway so it's not a concern for me. At higher levels, I cannot detect any undesired noise. With it on, I sleep wonderfully. I doesn't bother me during the day and it does not cause any problems with falling asleep.

Returned the original bought from the manufacturer because the sound level was too loud on high and too quiet on low. This one is much better with 10 levels. The fan produces a more uniform sound than the electronic ones that are looped, - I can always hear the loop point in those ones.

Bought this product since I need some white noise to help me sleep. I turn it on the machine and it functions seemingly as intended. Multiple fan speed options and the dome on top turns to adjust the pitch, great! But there is a huge flaw: you can hear the motor whirring and whining the entire time it spins. Instead of constant fan noise it is meant to create, I am stuck listening to the high pitched whirring that prevents any soothing noise from doing its job.The unit works exactly like it says it does. I could not detect any mechanical issues either. But if this machines sole purpose is to create a soothing white noise then why did they use such cheap parts. If the motor was quiet it would be fine, but its honestly overpowering and you cannot ignore it. I didn't buy this for the app but holy moly don't even bother, its so poorly functioning I just stuck with the manual controls.I really wanted to like this item since I was hoping for an actual fan noise but its poor quality doesn't make this an option.

I have never used a "white" noise machine in my life, but after moving into my new apartment I was looking for something to help me sleep better/block outside noise. I was skeptical that these machines could really make a difference, but after several weeks of use I really do think that it does. I feel like I am sleeping deeper than I was prior to using the machine, which is good and bad if only because sometimes when my alarm goes off in the morning, I am much groggier initially than I used to be. I find myself not waking up before my alarm like I used to, and I think it is because I am sleeping deeper than I used to.I probably should deduct a star if only because I was not able to find the app that is supposed to control it in the Android app store, but I like the machine so much anyway that I am still giving it 5 stars. The volume control is great, and it creates the perfect amount of noise that it is not distracting and is very easy to fall asleep to. I have it right on my night stand and turn it on right after lights out and am asleep within minutes. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone thinking about getting a white noise machine!

I, unfortunately, had to return my Dohm Connect because it was defective (details bebow). Thankfully I had also purchased another product from Yogasleep that has satisfied my needs, or else I’d have sought a replacement - this product was AMAZING when it worked!I have PTSD and, with that, trouble maintaining a deep sleep. “Tuning” this to a mid-to-lower frequency (by adjusting the airflow with the manual twist mechanism of the device) and keeping it at a volume level of 7 really kept me from waking up from random noises in the night.I prefer this organic sound, made by the fan inside the device, opposed to playing white noise through a speaker. If you have a good audio system and the right recording for your needs you can go that route; however, I’d highly recommend purchasing this white noise machine so you can experiment with the sound and truly identify the frequency, volume and character of noise that works best for you.I docked one star from my review because of the defective unit. Unfortunately mine would short-out periodically, causing the fan to slow briefly, thus projecting an undesirable noise (the opposite of its intended use). However, I understand the nature of this fragile machine and they can become faulty from shipping. I believe in this product and would recommend it. Good product. Volume is loud enough - we use it at max volume and it works great for my little guy. The option to use the app to turn it on or change volume is also good if you forgot to hit the button when you leave the room. Overall, good product and happy with it.

I bought this device because of its Bluetooth connectivity feature.It turned out that half of the users of the app are unable to connect it to Marpac device.I don't understand how this noise machine could get such a high rating on Amazon and on various websites if its basic feature doesn't work.I've tried multiple phones and none of the was able to connect.Money well wasted :(

Bought it 4 months ago.At first it worked great, but since last night, it suddenly starts making horrible vibrations and noises.I first thought that it was great, helped our baby sleep better with noisy tenants upstairs... but disappointing it looks broken after only 4 months
