Superior gray and silver coverage 👍😎✨
I have silver hair, and my usual hair dye wasn't providing sufficient coverage; I've always dyed it pink, but my siilver hair was making it appear purplish pink. My hair stylist recommended trying a burgundy color. My usual brand doesn't offer burgundy, so I searched for a good burgundy dye and found this one. Upon arrival, the color was lovely. It's thinner than I'm accustomed to, so I did get some dye on my sink and counter, so I suggest covering your sink with an old towel you don't mind staining. For processing, I used a plastic bag on my head and left it on for 45 minutes because gray and silver hair is difficult to cover due to the smoother hair shaft, which makes dye penetration more challenging. This didn't stop me from giving it 5 stars because I was incredibly pleased with the color! It completely covered all my silver hair! I'm absolutely delighted with this burgundy color! It hasn't faded yet, and I've washed it several already! This is the only hair dye brand I will ever use! I cannot express how happy I am with the color! I highly recommend this dye, especially if you have gray or silver hair.

LOVE this brand!!
This is quickly becoming my favorite direct dye brand!! Yes, it's not quite as good as others, but at this price, it's by far the best I've found this cheap!! I've used this neon yellow green as well as turquoise and loved them both. They're very easy to apply, though they do soak in quite a lot, so if you're dying a lot of hair you'll need multiple bottles. If you truly want something that won't last more than maybe a month or two then absolutely follow the directions and don't leave it on long. I like mine to last as long as possible, so I have left the dye on for about 45 minutes, and when I've mixed it with conditioner to lighten it I've left it in about an hour, and both times they've stuck as well as I wanted! If you've used this dye and maybe it didn't stay well or at all, you should absolutely shampoo your hair with something like a clarifying shampoo and NO conditioner or other products. This stuff will soak right in!!

Best dye for blues I've found
I've tried a few different brands of similar blue dyes, and this is by far the best. The others washed out much faster, and quickly turned green (even when I went purple to try to avoid that). I've kept my hair in varying degrees of blue for a couple years. I've used Baby Blue, Sapphire, and Indigo, and they've all been great. They smell good, don't appear to damage my very fine hair, and as mentioned, last a good while. Note they don't totally wash out, just fade over time.To avoid damage, I don't bleach - I use these directly on my dirty blond hair. They end up darker, of course, but even the Baby Blue covers it just fine without lightening first. As my fine hair gets oily quickly, I wash my hair at least every other day, and a lot of blue will come out in the shower for a week or two, but my hair will still look good for at least a month / month and a half at this rate. Over time I haven't been as persnickety about the dye in my shower either, but it's been coming out ok without a lot of scrubbing. It's also easy to get off white tile, and some sinks (one stains and one doesn't, not sure the difference). Towels, on the other hand, will stay blue, so I only use particular ones on my hair.My only issue is that my roots don't dye well - the color washes out pretty quickly near my scalp. But I'm guessing that's my hair, not anything to do with the dye. I'll use heat for 15 minutes, and leave the dye on my hair for a couple hours covered in a plastic cap and towel to keep it warmer. I'll check every so often to be sure it's not drying, and spritz with water in any areas if so.

No more pink for me
Okay. There's a lot to unpack here. I loved loved loved this when I first used it! I am almost platinum blonde, naturally, very very very blonde. The color took to my hair easy peasy! It was vivid, hot pink, just like the bottle. Like I said, loved it! First colored it in October in 2024. Fast forward to February 2025. My hair was still pink. A very light pink compared to the hot pink but still pink. It just wasn't going away. I made an appointment thinking I could start bleaching/ coloring my hair back to it's normal color aaaand I couldn't even put bleach on it: it just made the pink brighter. I ended up having to color over my whole head just to try and cover the pink in hopes that when I tried to lighten it, it would help lift the pink out. It only semi worked. Upon my second hair appointment (mid February) each blonde foil was just a guessing game. Some pulled pink, others blonde. I'm not mad about my current hair color. I'm a little butthurt that it's costing me hundreds of dollars to fix what a $9 bottle did. But I did it to myself I suppose. It's just going to take a really long time to get back to "me" and that part stings a little. Maybe if my hair had been bleached/ colored beforehand, it would have been porous enough to actually wash out but a word to the wise on virgin hair: it may linger longer than you want! Try a test stand first maybe? I'm not mad about the product either. It obviously works well, just a little too well. But only in the hot pink! I tried to color my niece's hair, too, and she's also a natural blonde, she's only 8. I did half her head a soft pink and the other half mint green, neither color took! So I don't know. Every body's hair is different but I thought I'd throw this review in for any natural blondies like myself who are thinking of using a "semi" permanent "wash out " color. Throughout the last 10 years I've used many different semi pinks from Sally's and they all washed out. This was a first for me that didn't. First pic is October (left), January (right). Second pic is left: on the way to appointment, middle: after 1st appointment, right: after last appointment
