White Touch Screen Digitizer Panel for Ipad Air 5th +Tools

I received the item in good packaging, lots of bubble wrap, etc. These problems I noted immediately:1. Only one guitar pick included. You're going to need at least 4 or 6 of them, one is definitely not enough.2. no adhesive included. I've read many reviews of these things from many different sources and there are a number of people who say they received their item with no adhesive. This definitely seems to be a common problem, and one that should be extremely easy to remediate.3. it's PLASTIC, not GLASS.So, I called the seller and they were happy to send an adhesive pack out with no questions. Which leads me to believe this is a common problem, so there should be some better quality control of the original packaging. I got that a few days later.The plastic screen is really kind of lame. Seriously. Why would you want to do this?It comes with a sticker on the screen saying TEST THIS ITEM FIRST... If you install it and it doesn't work, you can't return it. That suggests the quality of the manufacturing is not all that great.Ultimately I decided not to use this replacement panel on my iPad. I went with something else.Seller states a 15% restocking fee if you return it. I wonder why this is, a seller who pushes back on refunds suggests they don't trust their own product and have too many refunds. However I see here the amazon item listing is very generic and ambiguous. Nowhere on the amazon listing does it say it's plastic, and it's reasonable to expect the replacement would be glass. Apparently not.So yeah, disappointed to say the least. Will not use this on my iPad. Maybe I'll hock it on CL instead.

Since the reviews on this were so doubtful, I didn't expect much but this digitizer works just fine.One: A lot of these reviews are from 2014 so I think the seller fixed whatever the issue since then.Two: THE ADHESIVE ON THE IPAD AIR IS EXTREMELY TOUGH! If you don't have enough heat to loosen the old digitizer and you don't know how to reinstall the new digitizer, that's not the new digitizers fault.Three: Be very careful when taking off the home button. The cable that connects to the motherboard is very easy to break.4 stars because there is no adhesive attached to the digitizer (most other digitizers sold on Amazon come with it). I'm buying 3 more of these so I will update if the other ones don't work but a lot of the negative reviews here might be due to user error and not necessarily the product.

Properly packaged and all. The only thing I don't like is the sticker stating to "test" the screen before installing. After it's installed, if it doesn't work you're stuck with it and can't return it. You would think that they'd be sure it will serve it's function. You know.. quality assurance for something so delicate and gives a great financial return for these companies in the big picture anyway.... what's the big deal about following through on the work ethic?

Don't waste your money. This screen does not work properly and is not an acceptable choice to replace a damaged screen. More than 20 percent of the screen's surface does not respond to input. It makes using your i-Pad Air extremely frustrating and nearly impossible. I had to constantly rotate my i-Pad to interact with areas that would not accept input. Look elsewhere.

Poor quality. For those experiencing phantom touch put some kapton tape around the digitizer shiny parts. If that doesn't solve the problem I suggest fiddling with the cable.

Plastic doesn't work well at all. Only worked for about a week and has strange rainbow colored stripes across the entire front.

It works perfectly. One star deducted for the visible touch dots. The sticky material is kinda annoying too.

easy to fix came with instructions and tools came in a weird wrapped box covered in bubble wrap so thought that was kinda disapointing i thought they would protect it better in transit but over all a good product
