This was a pattern book rather than a kit. It shipped quickly. Then I realized I needed the. Perler beads so it also came quickly but several days after I bought the book. I like the book because it has easy patterns for younger children.Then it has more difficult patterns for a young teen or older adult. It is great for quarantine to pass time for the family to make the different patterns together. My suggestion is to buy beads and Perler tweezers for everyone. The perler tweezers make it easier to put the beads in place.

My son loves this idea... downside.... I had to purchase like 15 colors to complete most of the designs since it does have many colors!

Might be a fun gift for a kid but I found patterns online that were free and looked much better. I would have appreciated being able to see inside the book, even with a blur or something so the actual patterns were protected.

This works perfectly with the clear peg boards. I tape it on with painters tape for younger kids and they are able to follow the pattern perfectly. Also helpful for adults and older kids to count rows easily for placement of the beads.
