cute and fun. add water and it's a clock.the picture might be a little misleading though. the digital clock doesn't have any glow. depending on your lighting, it may not seem as bright as the picture.

It stopped working properly about 10 days after I put in the water. I'd purchased another water-powered clock from a store probably over a year ago. I loved it because it was perfect for a bathroom that steams up a lot--no damage to batteries and I could still see the digital numbers through the steam. I purchased this one because the older clock's digital numbers had begun to wink out and it was impossible to determine what time it was showing. I'd tried cleaning it with apple cider vinegar as recommended, but it still didn't work consistently. This soda can version was a very poor substitute. First, it is VERY small. Best for use on a desk where you can are going to close to it to read the numbers. But, in a room, even a small room, it was not visible. I had to get up close to see the numbers inside the disc, partly because the numbers are very small, and partly because the numbers are set into the disc area, obscuring the view. Next, the digital numbers winked out within 10 days. It recommends you fill up every 2 weeks, to keep the read-out showing strong, but this happened in less time. And, when I refilled, the numbers never returned to their original fullness. A missing bar here or there with a digital number means...you can't read it. So, I would not recommend this, even if you are using on a desk. I've purchased much better.

Great novelty mystery item. Just as described in Amazon. Lots of fun, Can't figure out how it works, but it does, and very well.
