Great addition to Batman 1
Bought as a Christmas gift, the grandkids had it on their list, and it fit the bill. They love it -- entertaining and fun. Sometimes a sequel doesn't meet expectations, but this one is a good one! Recommended.

Not finished yet, but it exceeds my expectations.
I've been playing for 2 days & I'm at about 40% completed in regards to game progress, unlocked characters, and red brick cheats. There are spoilers. I love this game! I saw the trailer, so I knew Luthor & Superman were in it, but that's not even the half of it! I've unlocked Vixen, Black Canary, Superboy(black t-shirt clone Connor Kent Superboy, not teenage Clark), and a few Batman villians that I became familiar with from the first Lego Batman(I'm not a huge comic book reader, but I loved the DCAU shows from Batman:TAS to Justice League Unlimited). I know Flash & Green Lantern will be unlockable because certain cheats can't be unlocked without them. The icons are a little smaller so if you have bigger fingers, you'll have to use your stylus during free play. Also, I unlocked the X2, X4, & X6 red bricks already so if you were hoping for a challenge in stud collecting, you might be disappointed(although you could just leave it off). All in all, I'm enjoying this more than the first Lego Batman, which I've played over & over again for months.

My six year old daughter doesn't like this game
My six year old daughter doesn't like this game. It's too hard for her. So buy it for older kids only!

No problems in gameplay
Game came with a generic case and no label, so I was confused upon opening the package. The game worked fine, though, so all I had to do was figure out what it was and then write it on carefully-applied tape. Again, no problems in terms of gameplay.

Great for long car rides
Bought this for my 8 year old for his stocking this christmas. He loves it. Keeps him entertained on long road trips. It's not too difficult to play and there are lots of tips that pop up to help kids get through the different levels - like how to scale a wall or use a special skill or power. The graphics are pretty good as well. We play it on a DS2 and it works really good on that device.

Short campaign and free play system seems broken
First off, I'm a grown-up, but I've loved most of the lego games I've played on the PS2 and PS3. This was my first DS purchase and will be my last. It was incredibly short, taking me less than six hours to finish the campaign. That's not a huge issue since part of the fun is going back in the free play mode to find all the stuff you missed the first time around. The problem is, the free play mode seems broken on the DS. On the consoles, the game automatically includes any character types you have unlocked that would be useful in the stage. Not so with this version. It won't include Batman's electric suit on levels where you need it to progress. It won't include Superman or Cyborg in areas where you need their heat vision. It won't include a character with magnet boots for an area where you need to walk on the walls. This meant that I would get a little ways into a stage and have to stop because I didn't have the right character to progress, or go back and play it again and again because I was missing character types that I had unlocked. After trying three stages I gave up in frustration. I'll stick to the console versions of lego games from now on.

Love Lego Games!
I bought this game for my 3 year old son. He loves playing the lego games because you cannot die and have to start over. So while he was sleeping, I would play the game. This is a whole lot of fun. It plays like a regular lego game with blocks to build and puzzles to figure out. But I don't like this game because the levels are too long and there aren't enough of them. I thought the extra Justice League section would add on to it, but they are just battles. I also wish that you could get the JL characters earlier in the story. But it made him happy, so I guess its okay. I would have to say that the first lego Batman was better overall.
