The sound quality, works with an interface even with 50 Db of gain
This is and absolutely great microphone! Here is why The Room Rejection Is Incredible: If your room sounds like a hollow echo chamber or you have loud neighbors, this mic is a lifesaver. Because it’s a dynamic mic with a tight cardioid pattern, it completely ignores my noisy desktop fan and the echo bouncing off my bare drywall. That Rich "Radio Host" Warmth: When you get right up on the grille (about 2 inches away), it gives your voice a thick, smooth, broadcast-like weight. It rounds out harsh, sharp consonant sounds beautifully.Built Like a Tank: The all-metal build is incredibly reassuring. The integrated swivel mount and heavy-duty housing feel premium and durable enough to last a decade without breaking a sweat.

Fantastic Mic!
Pros -Solid Build Quality -Fantastic Sound -Built in Shock Mount -Easy to physically adjust -Comes with 2 foam windscreens (one for general use [you see in most pics], and a thicker one to get right up against it) -Comes with smaller thread adapter Cons -Likely will need a cloudlifter (depending on your interface) *I'm using this with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo on a Rode PSA1 Boom Right off the bat, I'm not a audio professional, so I can't technically tell you why this mic is great. But for my uses, it is absolutely FANTASTIC! I got this to replace my AT2020 because I learned that Dynamic mics are better for picking up vocals only in front of the mic itself, and that's exactly what this does. I use this for streaming, gaming, and generally talking to friends on discord, and it's extremely nice not needing to use any software processing to isolate my voice and get a clean sound. The reason why I didn't put the price as a con is because it's much easier (and possibly cheaper) than treating my room with sound dampening foam and such. It really does a great job at isolating my voice, and running through the Focusrite, my gain can be high with almost no static from the gain being near max. This is where the cloudlifter will come in. From my understanding, it's recommended that your interface be capable of outputting ~75dB to power this mic, however the cloudlifter can boost your interface by ~25dB without introducing static. Basically the cloudlifter lets you phantom power your dynamic mic (dynamic mics don't directly take phantom power). Since you will probably need a cloudlifter, you'll also need another xlr cable because. Aside from likely needing a cloudlifter, there's not really anything negative I could come up with. It does exactly what it's supposed to do with great quality. If you're eyeing this, you probably already know that they used the SM7B to record Michael Jackson's Thriller back in the day, so it rightfully has Legendary status. If you're new into higher quality audio, I recommend the Focusrite Scarlett Solo which is right around $100. I wouldn't recommend going less than that because you start risking less clean audio. It's also a must to get a cloudlifter so you're not maxing out your gain. The volume and quality will be much better. All in all, this was a solid purchase. Audio is very subjective, so definitely listen to some sound tests on YouTube before you make your decision. While this mic is perfect for my needs, it might not be for yours. When investing in equipment like this, generally, the price reflects the quality, and you need multiple components to get it working properly. These are all things to consider before making a purchase. If you're looking for a really good Dynamic mic, you can't go wrong with this.

Impressive Sound Quality, Build, and Affordability!
I recently got my hands on the Vocal Dynamic Microphone, and I must say, it has truly exceeded my expectations on every front. From its remarkable sound quality to the excellent build materials and its unbeatable value for money, this microphone is a winner in every sense. The sound quality produced by this vocal dynamic microphone is simply outstanding. Whether I'm recording vocals for music, podcasts, or voiceovers, it captures the nuances and richness of my voice with remarkable clarity. The depth and warmth in the recordings are truly a testament to the microphone's exceptional capabilities. It has added a professional touch to my recordings that I didn't expect at this price point. The build quality and materials used in this microphone are also impressive. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, giving me confidence that it will hold up well over time. The attention to detail in the design is evident, and I appreciate the thoughtful inclusion of features like the shock mount that helps eliminate unwanted vibrations and handling noise. This microphone truly feels like a premium product, and its durability adds to its overall value. Speaking of value, I am genuinely amazed by how much this microphone offers for its price. Comparable microphones with similar sound quality and build often come with a much higher price tag, making this vocal dynamic microphone an incredible bargain. It's a testament to the brand's commitment to delivering top-notch quality without breaking the bank. In conclusion, the Vocal Dynamic Microphone has earned a well-deserved five-star rating from me. Its impressive sound quality, quality of material, and unbeatable value for money make it a must-have for any aspiring or seasoned content creator. Whether you're a musician, podcaster, or voice actor, this microphone will undoubtedly elevate your recordings to a whole new level. Don't hesitate to invest in this gem – you won't be disappointed!

A true staple of audio quality.
I never used to think I liked the SM7B. But as it turns out, what I didn't like was that anyone on YouTube or Twitch who could get their hands on this microphone would use it without having any idea what they were doing. They would over process this microphone or process it in such a way to ruin all the best things about it. But before you buy it, there are a few things to consider. First, this is a very dark microphone. That doesn't mean that it's going to make you sound deep and commanding. Your voice will still sound like your voice, but if you were looking for something that compliments your voice in such a way, this microphone could be that. But if your voice is already very deep, this can exaggerate this detail in your voice and even ruin the experience for some listeners. Second, this microphone is particularly hard to drive, especially if you don't have the right means to do so. Some people will tell you things like "I managed to drive it just fine with my Behringer UM2". But let me tell you, doing so is possible but by no means practical. This will introduce extremely high amounts of "Noise" (Static), and when I tried to replicate this myself, I encountered an issue. As I turned the volume near max the volume curve made a sharp turn upward, making it very hard to control what volume it was set to. Finally, just cause this is a dynamic microphone, that doesn't mean it doesn't pick up any background noise. Actually this microphone picks up quite a noticeable amount of background noise. So don't think this is going to completely remove the sound of people talking in the other room or that annoying sound of reflection from your room not having any acoustic treatment. It might be a little bit better than some condensers at this, it is by no means the best microphone for isolating. But what about what truly makes this microphone stand out? Why should you buy this microphone? First, it's an absolute staple in studios big and small, so if for no other reason, the fact that it's so recognizable and loved by so many. Second, this microphone offers a smooth sound like nothing else I've ever seen in its price range. The soft high end and flat mids, make for a smooth frequency response. In addition, the over all sonic signature of this microphone's quality, as well as it being a dynamic microphone makes for one smooth sounding microphone. And finally, if for no other reason, the bragging rights that comes with this microphone. While all your friends have their cheap knock offs and SM7B wannabes, you can know the true feeling of owning an SM7B. But in all seriousness, the SM7B has a name and reputation to uphold so you know that sure will have to deliver when it comes to quality. I hope this answered any questions you might have about this microphone and if you should buy it.

No regrets. Not one bit. Love this microphone.
I purchased the Shure SM7B a few years ago and have been extremely impressed with its performance. As a professional discord talker, streamer, and gamer, I was in need of a high-quality microphone that could capture crystal clear audio, and the SM7B did not disappoint. I wanted to sound like all the professionals out there. Not knowing how it would turn out. I loved it. The comments I’ve had with this mic has been surprising to how much others like the sound it produced with my voice. The build quality of the microphone is excellent. It is made of durable metal and feels solid and well-constructed. It comes with a standard XLR connection, which is compatible with most audio interfaces and mixers. The internal shock mount is a nice touch and it helps to reduce unwanted vibrations and noise from reaching the microphone. The sound quality of the SM7B is fantastic. It has a wide frequency response (50Hz - 20kHz) and a high-pass filter that helps to eliminate unwanted low-frequency rumble. It also has a mid-range boost switch that allows you to increase the clarity of vocals and spoken word. With this microphone, I am able to capture high-quality, professional-sounding audio. One of the standout features of the SM7B is its ability to handle high SPLs (Sound Pressure Levels) This means it can handle high volumes without distorting the audio, which is great for recording music or anything else with louder sources. Also its built-in pop filter and internal air suspension that helps to reduce popping and sibilance, which means less post-processing is required on your end, overall saving time. The only downside to this microphone is that it is not USB, so it needs a XLR interface to connect to a computer. And also its price point, it is an expensive microphone, but it is worth every penny if you are serious about capturing high-quality audio. I use a cloudlifter in between the mic and my Rode Rodecaster Pro sound board. Overall, I highly recommend the Shure SM7B to anyone looking for a professional-grade microphone for streamer, gamers, podcasting, voiceover work, or music recording. It is built to last and will give you the best sound quality possible, which makes it a worthwhile investment.

Huge Upgrade from Quadcast 2
Huge upgrade from my quadcast 2. It is a very Gain hungry microphone so you will need a strong DAC or a cloud lifter to accompany it. For the microphone itself it is pretty easy to set up. The audio sounds fantastic but I am sure it can be improved with some EQ tweaks. You will need it really close to your face so plan accordingly and get an arm that can support it.

Outstanding Sound Quality
The Shure SM7B absolutely lives up to the hype. The vocal clarity is incredible super clean, smooth, and detailed without sounding harsh. It captures my voice naturally while still giving that rich, warm tone that makes recordings sound professional right out of the box. What really stands out is how well it handles dynamics. Whether I’m speaking softly or projecting more, it stays balanced and controlled without distortion. It also does a great job rejecting background noise, which is perfect for streaming, podcasting, or recording in less-than-perfect rooms.

Amazing microphone upgrade!
While looking for an upgrade to my Rode NT-USB mic, I fell across the Shure SM7B. I quickly looked up reviews of this mic to see if it lived up to all of the hype that streamers and music producers gave it. I finally decided to invest and purchased the SM7B. Compared to my Rode mic, I was blown away with the quality difference and instantly knew that the hype was not exaggerated. It has a very nice response and picks up the vocal tones extremely well. The SM7B makes me want to go into voice acting just because how amazing it makes my voice sound. There is a good amount of bass response and depending on your style of recording you may need to use the included switches on the bottom to adjust the response. It's built extremely well and compared to other studio microphones I have tried, I really like the way this one is mounted. The XLR port is in a very handy location (unlike other mics where it comes out of the bottom of the mic). The SM7B comes with two different foam pop filters, a close proximity filter (the larger one that lets you get closer to the mic) and the smaller filter which is good for normal distances. I use the SM7B for streaming and voiceovers and it has helped improve my quality immensely. Since I'm using the SM7B with the Scarlett 2i2 USB interface, I needed a preamp to boost the gain cleanly. I went with the Cloudlifter CL-1 and it sounds amazing. I would definitely recommend going with the Cloudlifter as other preamps could introduce noise, but if you are on a budget, there are other options out there. If you're looking for a microphone that will last you a long time and sounds amazing, I would recommend looking into the Shure SM7B. Shure it's pricey...(see what I did there ;) but it's worth every cent, and I'd definitely purchase it again! If you have any questions about the microphone or my review, send me a message and I'll definitely help out!

Versatile and Professional: Shure SM7B Microphone Review
The Shure SM7B is a game-changer for anyone serious about audio quality. As a podcaster and musician, finding a microphone that delivers on versatility and performance is paramount. The SM7B not only meets but exceeds expectations. Its construction exudes durability, a reassuring factor when investing in quality audio equipment. The sleek design is not just aesthetic but a testament to its robustness, fitting seamlessly into any studio setup. The standout feature? Its ability to capture rich, warm tones across a wide frequency range. Whether I'm recording vocals, instruments, or voiceovers, the SM7B consistently delivers crystal-clear sound reproduction. The bass roll-off and mid-range emphasis controls allow tailored sound shaping, adapting effortlessly to different recording environments and preferences. One thing to note: This microphone requires a good amount of gain, so pairing it with a high-quality preamp or interface is recommended for optimal performance. Additionally, its low sensitivity might not suit all recording setups, especially for quieter sound sources. Despite these considerations, the SM7B's exceptional noise rejection capabilities make it a top choice for professional studios. It effectively minimizes background noise, ensuring clean recordings even in less-than-ideal acoustic settings. In conclusion, the Shure SM7B is a true workhorse microphone. Its unparalleled sound quality, durability, and adaptability make it a staple for audio professionals and enthusiasts alike. While it might demand some additional equipment for optimal performance, the results it delivers justify every penny. If you're seeking a versatile, reliable microphone that consistently produces high-quality audio, the SM7B should be at the top of your list. Remember to tweak or adjust the review as needed, depending on your personal experiences and preferences with the microphone!
