How fast is this bike?do it perform like other road bike

Hello there. This is my first "decent" bike. Although I like it a lot, by no means compares with more expensive bikes. Occasionally, other riders pass me by and I can see that they still have a few gears to while I'm out of gears. I typically do between 15 and 25 miles every day at 18 to 19 miles per hour. I'm 62 and, for me, that is a good workout. Although I yearn for a better bike, I think I will ride this one for a few more years before a trade up.

Does this bike come with pedals/kickstand?

This bike comes with racing pedals, and I replaced them with pedals that didn’t have straps. No, this bike does not come with a kickstand. I bought one and had placed on my bike. I like this bike because it’s comfortable on my back,

how do you down shift on this bike for hills

The brake levers not only pull in to stop the bike, they rotate inward to shift. Right side for the small ring and left side for the big ring (or gear). I believe it’s called paddle shifting. Levers also have two parts (paddles), inner part is used to shift up (harder gear) on the right side and the whole lever (paddle) is used to to go down (easier gear). Things reverse on the left side.
