Melamine Mixing Bowl Set with Lids, 4 Pieces

Super sturdy and attractive!

This is my second set of these bowls. After 20+ years, the lid on the large red one in my first set split in one place - about 1.5 in. It was still usable, but the rip was bugging me, so I gave the set to my daughter and bought a cheaper set of melamine bowls for myself. They were awful because of the six bowls, 3 had lids that totally wouldn't fit - too small so they popped off. The seller kindly gave me a refund after the return window closed, and my partner convinced me to buy these much more expensive bowls (the first time I got them, I got them at Costco, and with a different seller and the passage of years, they became a lot more expensive. Anyway, I love the bowls. They are solid and heavy enough that they don't feel flimsy (but not too heavy like glass is), and the lids fit beautifully and are easy to get on and off.

Am sure these bowls will outlast me! Love the sizes, colors, rubber pad on bottom, and the lids. Not really sure f they are worth the price. Hopefully, will never have to buy another set. Enjoy them, but a little buyer's remorse cause of the cost.

I love love love these bowls. I bought them from Costco last year, but as my roommates chipped in, I left them when I moved out and assumed I'd be able to get a new set. Tragedy! Costco was no longer carrying them, and I sadly bought a similar, but clearly inferior, set. However, after just a few hours, I knew I'd made the wrong choice, and I took to Google to find the real thing. They've come and they're just as beautiful and sturdy and handy as I remember, and they look great in our little wheely kitchen island shelf thing.Oh, and the lids? You might not think much of them at first, but they are so great. Imagine never having to peel back the wet plastic wrap, getting your hands damp and gross, trying fruitlessly to make it re-stick in place after you've gotten your portion. Lidded bowls take care of all that! I'll never go back.

I was searching for a replacement for a very old melamine mixing bowl that fell and broke, and decided that the new one should have a lid. The possibility of getting a set of bowls was attractive, and while this set was beautiful, the $55 price definitely wasn't. Since it wasn't going to be a gift, I opted for the used category from Amazon Warehouse.I was very pleased with the condition of the bowls on arrival. The original box was crumpled on one corner, but had been inspected and shipped inside another box; the bowls themselves were undamaged, and exactly as pictured. They all nest together with the lids on, and weigh under 10 lbs when stacked together like that. There were no dings, chips or cracks on any of the pieces.Terrific value!

I got these bowls as I needed something to carry food in when I had to bring a dish somewhere. They are very nice looking & I love the plastic lids. The lids fit securely & seem like they will be OK if taken care of (I wouldn't put them in the dishwasher). The bowls themselves are very substantial. If you are looking for very light bowls, these are not it. The bowls are dishwasher safe but it says they are not microwave approved on the box. I only microwave in glass containers so that is not an issue for me. I really like these bowls & they were just what I wanted. I'm sure I will get many many years use out of them. Pretty colors too!

Just got these but so far I am really happy with them- I love the sizes, the colors, and the fact that they have lids so I can store in the fridge or take them to someone else's house if I make a salad or something.I would disagree when I see others saying melamine is indestructable though...I had a set of 3 nesting melamine mixing bowls from williams sonoma that one by one I accidentally dropped or they fell off the counter and they definitely break into pieces if they fall far enough onto a hard surface...thus my need to replace them but I am kind of happy b/c these are much more versatile/useful.

False advertisement. The description clearly states these bowls have a non slip grip on the bottom, they DO NOT. The material is the exact same all around the exterior of the bowl. I have bowls with a rubber ring on the bottom, which don't slip, my sister liked them so I bought these in hopes to give to her for Christmas. Should really change the product description so people know what they are getting.
