Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is what quality is about. I picked this product because the domestic brand is better quality. Functionality is excellent and the value for the money is there.

Perfect fit.
Works perfectly on my 22’ Bennington SFX 22’ with Yamaha F70. Easy to install by myself but would’ve been even easier with two people (so one could turn the wheel).

Great service
After I ordered the wrong size cable I had to return it for the right size cable and that was much easier then I thought it wood the news cable came two days sooner then expected and of course the cable fit and worked just like it should

Great product but this is not an easy job
This product was a perfect fit using the part # on the previous cable. Apparently SeaStar acquired or replaced the OEM Terex, but this seems to be a quality product. For anyone attempting to install this product, be aware this is not an easy job unless you have plenty of clearance to remove the old cable and install the new one. This difficulty is no reflection on the part itself.

Just what the Dr. Ordered
My old cable froze up and while I broke it loose I no longer trusted it. Anyway, pulled my old cable and got the codes on it which was a 1/2 size and the charts said to go up to next foot. However, I went ahead and measured my old cable and it was only 2" over so I ordered the next size down given they only come in foot increments and the fact my old cable fit tight. I would suggest measuring your old cable and then order accordingly based on how much extra room there is, instead of just using the code. Install was pretty easy since I tied a small rope on the old cable when I pulled it out. So just put the rope on the new cable and went right in. The cable was well constructed and already lubed so hoping it will see a long life. Happy Boating!
