Mobilizing Millennial Leaders
For Millennials, respect is foundational. Without respect, they will quickly disengage from any project, including their work. I appreciate Paul Meshanko's work in helping us understand how we are wired for respect. We can become better mentors, coaches and leaders of Millennials by inspiring them and bringing out their best through respect. Through respecting this emerging generation, we can maximize our businesses, mobilize the Millennial leaders in our sphere of influence and realize our leadership legacy.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz
This book could have been written in half the number of pages. Nearly an entire, rather long chapter is dedicated to writing out "Positive Affirmations" about yourself. Toward the end of the book, the author quotes Woodrow Wilson and credits him with being the 38th President of the United States (Wilson was actually the 28th President. Nice proofreading & editing!)... Much of the book is just fluff & an attempt at subtly advertising the author's business coaching business. If you can't sleep, buy one of the many .99 cent copies and your insomnia will disappear quickly.

Easy and necessary read in today's fast paced world
The timing for The Respect Effect by Paul Meshanko could not be better. In this 21st Century world where gadgets seem to get more attention than people, and where competition and ideology seem more important than collaboration and contribution, this book is sorely needed! From the Halls of Congress, to our school yards, workplaces and even in our homes we take respect for granted. Paul Meshanko makes it easy to understand what respect truly is and how best to practice it. His definition of respect goes far beyond the dictionary to an aspirational challenge for us all to live up to. The research cited informs the reader of the transformative power of actively practicing respect as well as the dark lingering effects of disrespect. The reader will learn how to create positive outcomes from challenging situations. The Respect Effect is a book that in tact work teams and families should read together if they desire strong, healthy trusting relationships. For leaders seeking to create greater engagement, productivity, creativity and transformative results -- read this book!

Surprisingly bad
The intro to this book is fantastic and got me very excited that I may learn excellent information that I could apply to all areas of my life. Wrong. The authors thoughts are jumbled and his points incomplete. This book was required reading for a job promotion. I paid a couple of bucks for a used copy. .50 cents for this book would've been too much

No Real Insights
The book was recommended to me by a friend. Unfortunately I have to say I finished it with no real sense of learning anything. The author simply says to be respectful of others in verbose fashion, occasionally adding that it can have benefits for you.
