deCecco make a delicious high quality pasta. This particular style cooks quickly in 10 minutes and doesn't fall apart or lose its shape. Because of the texture and shape it actually holds sauce better than other types of pasta. The original shape makes it nice for special dinners. It is also much less expensive on amaz than other online retailers.

De Cecco Orecchiette No. 91 is one of my absolute favorites, especially for soups. Like other De Cecco pastas, it’s made with high-quality durum wheat semolina and holds its shape beautifully. The size is just right—not too big, not too small—and it adds great texture without overpowering the other ingredients. Whether it’s a simple vegetable soup, chicken broth, or a bean-based soup, this pasta elevates the whole dish.

Good ingredients, very versatile. Taste is awesome. Easy, normal pasta preparation. I’ve used several different pastas from De Cecco and none of them have ever failed me.
