Quote from the label - " Magnesium 500mg providing elemental magnesium 300mg".It should read "Magnesia (which is magnesium oxide) 500mg providing elemental magnesium 300mg"300mg magnesium is slightly less than the RDA for most adults, so the tablets are actually a true supplement - they do not provide all the magnesium that you need if you take one per day.The tablets are pretty dusty, and large, but otherwise perefectly OK.Great price.Note that magnesium oxide is not a great source of magnesium as it is not readily absorbed, but for the same dose as magnesium citrate (a more available source), you need five times the dose - 2.5g. There is easily understood published science easily available on this.

The product does not come in a plastic container. It comes in a big plastic bag. Which in my opinion is not suitable.
