Good fit. Easy install.
Good fit for my 2014 Audi Q5. No issues with any of the included hardware or instructions. I never removed the lower bumper facia as the instructions stated I would need to. I just worked around it. No issues.

Nice hitch and works great!
It fit perfectly and I did the install in the garage at night using just a flashlight for light. It was not quite as easy to install without anyone to help me do it. It could be different for other vehicles, but you have to fish a u-bolt through two little holes with this one while supporting the weight of the hitch with your other arm and then get the two nuts started on the u-bolt without dropping the hitch on your head. I would say that this should have been a two or three person job and then it would be relatively simple. Recruit a friend to help hold it up while you are under the car connecting the nuts and bolts. Great design and works great once it was bolted in!

Simply the best in Every aspect
This was made perfectly for a 2017 Audi Q5 Quattro. I've checked a few others but they required cutting the bumper, I mean who would want to do that to their vehicle. This came nicely packaged and was so easy, I installed it in 34 minutes flat. It was easy for me because I had access to a lift and all the tools needed. But for anyone else it shouldn't be that hard. It's a simple bolt on and there's a YouTube video available with DETAILED instructions. Look that up before you take on this job. But if you can't handle it your mechanic shop shouldn't charge more than an hour to install this.

The U-bolts will snap on you if you use a torque wrench
I got this hitch 2 months ago now, and when installing it I followed the instructions to a T. Personally, they should tell you to remove the entire bumper + crash absorber so you can actually get a torque wrench on the U-bolts otherwise you need a crows foot. Speaking of those U-bolts, the instructions specify a torque of 45 ft-lb LOL what a joke! Pull up any charges of 3/8th-16 bolt torque ratings and even 10.9 stuff lists 38 ft-lbs, and these are "ungraded" from god knows where, which looking at grade 1-2 the maximum is 18 ft-lbs 18 FOOT LBS NOT 45 LIKE THEY SPECIFY. Due to this, I snapped my first set of u-bolts when I reached 20 ft-lbs, not realizing that they were calling for such a higher spec, and guess what! These u-bolts are a completely custom spec and quite literally, do not exist, in any form or fashion outside of CURT. Furthermore, they can't just "send you a replace" or sell you them. They don't actually stock any parts, I had to wait for their manufacturer to send me the replacements, which took quite literally a month and a half to the day to receive when I was told 2 weeks. ADDITIONALLY when I went to check on the status at the 3/4 week mark, THEY HAD ZERO RECORD OF MY ISSUE. I had to haggle with whatever customer rep helped me, and he DENIED UP AND DOWN that they would EVER send me a replacement from the manufacturer. until 4 hours later when he told me he found it and it would arrive "sometime" The second set, knowing how easy they are to snap I took my time, one turn on each end of the u-bolts because these things are unobtainium. I even used the torque wrench in steps just like a valve cover. one of them snapped when I hit 30 ft-lbs, and somehow the other one made it to 45 ft-lbs and is bent in half and looks like its on the verge of popping too. I raised the issue about the instructions being incorrect but was assured they are correct. When I contacted the last customer service rep for another replacement set/to inform him the replacements snapped too, I literally received no response... Seriously, these u-bolts DO NOT EXIST. I am not stuck buying 17 different sizes of U-bolts trying to figure out how to "make my own". Or literally I need to cut some from raw rod stock from Home Depot or something. You've been warned, DO NOT TIGHTEN THE U-BOLTS TO THE INSTRUCTIONS 45 FOOT LBS THEY ARE ONLY RATED FOR 25-30 AT BEST. Now I get to go and figure out how to be a machinist to replace these non-existent stupid u-bolts, and I have yet to be able to tow for 3 months and I needed it immediately. I literally had to rent a truck to tow due to CURT's bs about these U-bolts.

Not the best but not the worst install on a 2014 Audi Q5, otherwise works great
We moved from Atlanta to Vancouver, taking the scenic route (basically going straight west and then straight north). I put the hitch on my 2014 Audi Q5, and rented a U-Haul 4 x 8 trailer. Similar to the Curt wiring harness for this vehicle, the instructions are detailed, but the YouTube video by Curt was a lot easier to follow along. The install on this vehicle involves removing the entire bumper and cutting out some rubber plugs that were permanently sealed in by some undercoating. The only issue I ran into is that there is a pair of brackets and bolts that then need to be placed in the holes uncovered by the cut out plugs. One bracket went in fine, but the second bracket did not go in at all as the directions instructed. I literally had to use a sledge hammer to get the bracket in, which was not my favorite, but once I got past that, the rest of the install was fairly straightforward. The U bolts were a little tricky but I had my son help me with getting those in, and once the bolts were all tightened up, the bumper went back on with no issue. We had no issue with the hitch the 4000+ miles we logged in the move, and will definitely use the hitch again in the future.

Replacement Came Quickly
Original hitch was bent, and I did not figure that out until the final step of installation. Total bummer! That said, Amazon quickly replaced the unit with one that was perfect within a two days. Things like this happen in life and it was awesome that I was able to get a replacement that was in spec so quickly. Love the hitch and was actually easier to install on my 2016 Audi Q5. Did not have to remove any of the clips or sensors. Just had to bend the plastic bumper a little to fit it in. So much easier than all the videos indicated!

Well made product with easy installation.
All of the retail stores in this area only carried the Hidden Hitch/Draw Tite brands. After looking at multiple sites online the Curt brand seemed to be the way to go - better quality, made in USA, better paint quality/warranty, better weight ratings. The only issue was the Curt was available online only so I would have to install it myself. It arrived in great shape with the hitch and installation bolts wrapped up together. The quality of the product is superb. Installation (my first hitch installation) took about 2 hours and was not too difficult (but I had to buy a Torque wrench). Make sure you use the fish wires on the U bolts so you don't lose them inside the frame. In the end I saved $200 by installing the hitch myself and have a better quality product.

Easy install on a Audi Q5

It took my 13 y/o son & myself 3 hours to mount this with no special tools and Q5 on the ground using both the paper instructions and a video from etrailer (recommend watching this before install). The hitch was a good fit but is about 1/8" too narrow for my Q5 (no accidents). The lower bumper shield just squeezes in to the space between the arms and kind of scrapes but it is under the vehicle and not seen. We did have to finesse and jostle the receiver to get it to line up with all bolts. (Even in the video you can see the receiver does not sit flat against where it mounts with u-bolts). In the end we got it on just fine but if it fit better it would have been much much easier. The build quality seems durable & testing it with the dirt bike rack showed it was rock solid. It is a nice clean out of the way look for the Audi Q5. The shipping packaging was not very protective, it was kind of of wrapped in plastic like I man-wrap oddly shaped Christmas gift (just quickly wind it around and tape the crap out of it). It showed it was not handled very gently before arriving at my home, so perhaps the 1/8" it was out was due to a drop on one of the arms. I will say the company shipped it lightning fast & it arrived a day early. In the end I am pleased but not ecstatic.
