I bought the Proud Bird 5 Echo Dot [3rd Generation only!] wall mount holder for my wife. She regularly uses the Dot but we were both unhappy that someday something would catch in its dangling mind-of-its-own lengthy cable. We both agreed, it was an accident waiting to happen.The Proud Bird Dot wall mount arrived well packaged and it proved to be well-designed with a high quality light but robust plastic finish. The instructions are straightforward [there is a video on Amazon product page for visual learners] and it was a doddle to install. Frankly I would watch the instructional video as when you align the Dot’s power / AUX socket sockets with the Proud Bird’s base there is a knack in starting to wind the cable around the fixed reel - the cable start needs to be at the groove before you wrap round the rest of the cable or it will pinch and protrude at the back.The Dot wall mount in the kitchen has the cable hidden trim and tidy. It cradles the Dot snugly, safely and securely so greatly diminishing any potential damage and is a great space saver in this very busy area. It is a clever effective gadget as function keys and microphones are now facing outwards making Alexa more responsive to voice control commands. It also noticeably improves the Dot’s volume helping to focus sound more effectively.Due to the Proud Bird’s neatness and improved sensitiveness, my wife wants a second Dot for stereo effect - I predict Spotify will not know what’s hit it! I wish now I had ordered the 2 pack option [you can have the wall mount in black or white option too] and saved myself some money. What I did save was not having to drill screwholes for the wall mount with the Dot’s plug and an adhesive mount holding the item firmly.Just a great wee gadget with excellent value for money.

I am really happy with this, the plastic seems to be of the same standard as the echo dot and it’s plug. You will need the original echo dot plug as this is just the mount that you clip over the plug. I like that it came with a foam pad to stick on the back so the mount is supported against the wall and so the weight won’t be pulling the plug out wall like has been said on reviews for alternatives. The cable wrap behind works well so no loose wires or mess. Great way to have Alexa in all rooms even where there isn’t space on a sideboard for the dot. It was about £2-3 more expensive than some I’d seen in discount shops but the plastic on this doesn’t look cheap or flimsy like they did.

Love this it is so neat and tidy only took a minute extra to set up as oppose to just plugging in the dot! Definitely buying for the rest of my devices! Also got sandstone dot this time (daring with all my kiddies!) so it stays lovely and clean haha! Not flimsy at all but not too hard that you struggle to get the dot in it’s great

Arrived well packaged and on time. I have having wires etc all over the place so when I saw these, I had to have one. Very easy to set up (instructions included) as you only have to wrap the cable around the back of the unit and then place the dot into the enclosure and connect the cable through the slot. The result is the cable completely hidden and surfaces kept clear. It fits securely and is easily plugged into the socket of your choice, and easy to move about the house as a unit without any dangling wires. Not noticed any detriment to sound or response to voice commands so I am very pleased. Great little gadget for a great price.

This is a great piece of kit, I use it the kitchen to keep the Dot off the worktop to protect it from splashes and spills and it does the job admirably. It keeps everything neat and tidy while looking smart and is very easy to set up. I’ve given it only four stars because of a few niggly issues. Firstly the sound seams a little flat compared to our other Dot and I’m assuming that the small but powerful speaker in the Dot is designed to be on a solid surface for maximum sound quality and not slung in a cradle. Secondly the sponge pad to rest the back of the cradle against the wall fails to do so although I remedied this by sticking on a few extra, (you can get a multi pack of various sizes for a £1 in any of the discount stores). Even with these issues I wouldn’t be without this wall mount and would still recommend it, plus if you really want super-duper quality music you can always Bluetooth it to another device.

I purchased a mount for my Echo Dot as it was taking up space on a tallboy in my bedroom and cluttering up the room. I'm used to a clutter free bedroom and found it disturbing to be there with wires showing. Also when Alexa was responding the light was intrusive. This mount allows you to wind the wire up behind the dot itself and is self contained. It plugs into the socket and allows the unit to be in one place. I first thought that the mount would impact the sound as some of the speaker is covered but I've not experienced any loss of sound. I'm very impressed with the unit and the only downside is where the plug sockets are in my house (so not a fault of the mount!)Thinking of getting another one for my second dot in my study!

My sockets are quite low and we have wide skirting boards so it just to say fits, plug is slightly out but this probably will be fine for newer houses (mine is 1950s build). Looks nice and tidy, easy to fit I actually bought another one for my other Alexa. Just check the measurement from plug to floor if your sockets are not high

A great little product. So easy to set up. The instructions were simple to follow and made the process easy. It's sturdy and doesn't affect the quality of sound from the dot. I love how apart from seeing a slight bit of cable at the bottom end all of the cables are well hidden, unlike a similar product I have previously purchased. There does seem to be quite a large gap around the dot to the holder though. I would have preferred the dot to have had a more snug fit into the holder, but apart from that it's well recommended
