I broke my MB E350 key fob trying to get into it without first reviewing You Tube videos. My bad. So then I needed a new MB key fob. Mercedes told me it would cost $400 for a new one. But THERE IS A MUCH BETTER WAY! I ordered this look alike key fob (the only difference is the MB logo on the front is missing - see photo). The key even came with a new battery. It is exactly like the original, but of course won't work unless it's programmed. My solution was to take apart my broken key fob and remove the circuit board (see You Tube videos). Then I reinstalled the circuit board in the new key fob. Wow! It works perfectly! Total cost $25. Saved $375 and only took a while to review You Tube videos and make sure the model key fob I ordered matched my FCC ID/ model. The actual work to open the old key fob and the new one and insert the new circuits took probably 30 minutes. Problem solved at a fraction of the cost!

then it needs programming

First off I’d like to say they did refund my money, but this would not work on our Mercedes. None of the 4 dealers we called said they would program this type of key, that it could mess up the whole system so we had to send it back. A new key like this has to be verified and bought through the dealer to make sure you were the actual owner of the car and could be anywhere from $500

I bought this key for 2009 Mercedes R350 which already has one programmed key. I programed this tool with professional equipment and there is no way you can do it by yourself. All lock/unlock functions work fine but this key works only by inserting it into ignition and turning the key. My existing key woks from my pocket as I have installed start/stop button into the slot.

Worked perfectly for my 2009 c300. Feels like good quality, be aware you need a locksmith with the proper tools to program the keys. You can’t diy it, and Mercedes will not do a non oem key. My local lock smith referred me to a guy who came out, charged me $165 to do both keys. Seems like a good deal considering what Mercedes will charge you.

It looks like the one from the dealership, except the emblem isn't there. The company was of no help trying to get the fob programmed for my car. I could really use the help, as prices vary and for me, up to 500$ it way too much!

You cannot simply buy this key and start your car. You need to program it yourself or have someone else do it. I used this key to add an additional key to a w211. Autel im508 pro w/ xp400. ~40 minutes to calculate password from original key. Car started up cannot complain.
