Value for money
Works perfectly for auto top off in aquarium world. It can be used Normally closed (default) or as normally open ( just remove the float and put it in opposite direction) Absolutely value for money

They work fine, metal shows
These work good. I originally purchased these for my reef tank to create an ATO but seeing that there is exposed metal on the inside, I don’t know if I will use it for that.

Great “light duty” level switches
Used for dyi pool and fountain level sensors for a smart home. The float can be flipped to change the action of the float switch from up on to up off. They have been reliable Very compact

They're holding up so far.
I have an effluent tank that pumps up hill to my septic field and I wanted a way of measuring the level in the tank. I already track the pump on and off time and with a few datapoints on the level I can really tell how well the system is working. Do I really need it? Who knows, but I like doing little projects like this and analyzing the data... What I do know is that an effluent tank is a NASTY environment and is very hard on so many different types of material. I don't know what these are made of but they've been working great for about 6 weeks now. I have a level gauge in my basement so I can always tell where the tank level is, a second alarm so I get a pre-warning and it all datalogs to a server so I can remove view it. I chose these because they seemed simple and were sealed. I use them with an ESP32 and they are normally open, close when the float raises up. I installed them threaded side down, but I believe you can remove the clip and flip the magnet to reverse the open and closed position. It's a magnetic switch so it should last a long time.

Think about what you need these for before clicking "Buy Now."
This was my mistake, I needed them to turn on an LED when the tank reached a certain level. I forgot to check if they are NO or NC and the vendor does not mention it. They are NC = Normally Closed. Generally intended to turn off a pump at a level. I need NO = Normally Open to indicate when a specific level is reached. I will not return them as it is not exactly the vendor's fault but the vendor should have ALL pertinent information to nudge people's thinking if it will do what they want. I am going to mount it upside down for now, but not ideal as the wires will be permanently underwater. Lesson learned to only buy from vendors who give **ALL** relevant information in their descriptions.
