Amazon says that this will not fit my 99 Silverado, but it does and fit Perfectly. Keep in mind that I have the new style 99. The original one that came on the truck did look different, but this style looks more updated. The holes all lined up perfect and was very easy to install. I didn't take a picture of the old one, due to I had removed it and thrown away before ordering this one. I would recommend this if you are looking to replace, or updating the look.

Went without the rivnuts because for 1 I didn’t have the tool and a lot of people won’t, & 2 because after trying it with a long bolt, some washers and couple extra wrenches I couldn’t get them to sit tight enough. So I had some plastic inserts laying around garage that I think should come with it. Worked great, I do recommend this product, quality is good. My tailgate had a dent which is why it didn’t sit flush for me but should for others.

Had some old aftermarket piece that had broken in half. Under that were the factory holes that lined up perfectly. The hexagon nuts were a loose fit, but a wrap of tape around the nut was enough for a snug fit in the hole. If I manage to destroy this one, I'll be back for another. Good price and perfect fit.

As I saw in another review, this Isn't the best for replacing a factory original as it is shorter and shows where years of dirt and sediment vibrates the paint. Great fit-up and install, but why not design to cover big enough to match original or heaven forbid a bit larger. I can see it being great for a new install where you didn't previously have one from Chevy or GMC. 4 stars for fitment, price, & easy install. My 2005 truck is old and scratched up anyway, so 1 star subtracted for it being smaller and revealing what was once hidden.

I never write reviews but in this case it needed to be done. I saw this product and ordered it without reading the reviews. It was set to be delivered a week and a half after order but arrived in two days. So thank you for the quick shipping. After I ordered it I was looking at the product in excitement, as when I bought the truck it had a cheep double stick taped cap that blew off when driving within the first month. When looking at the purchase I decided to read the reviews and saw a lot of bad reviews that worried me. I have a 03 1500hd and the fit and finish was everything I was hoping for. Feels strong and fits tight. Gives me confidence that it will last. The supplied hardware was to small and not used as I had the needed screw hols already in my tailgate, I just needed to find the correct screws to fit. Thanks for the inexpensive product that fits and looks great.

It looks great, however I received the item slightly cracked at the underside of the spoiler and it wasn’t very noticeable. It also requires a special riveting tool to install properly. I was able to get it done without the tool, I placed a screw inside the included rivets, then hammered the screw slightly to begin pressing the rivet. Once the rivets began to “swell” I hammered them lightly into the square hole of the tailgate. Once I tightened the screw, it held tight. Fortunately the spoiler comes with double sided tape.

Perfect fit

Bought an aftermarket replacement tailgate for a 2000 GMC Sierra that had holes for the tailgate guard that the original guard didn't cover. I saw this guard with the mounting holes, verified the hole spacing matched the tailgate and ordered it. Received it in two days with no damage. To install it, I just used push-in plastic rivets (the type that hold on various plastic panels) and the tape strip and there's no way it will come off. Looks great and matches the side bed top rail caps and looks much better than the original. Good price and no complaints. Would order again.

Fit gmc sierra 2004

Definitely cleaned up. My truck came with all the extra parts. I had to end up putting screws every 5 inches on the backside going all the way through because the sticky tape would not stick properly and stay stuck other than that. It’s an awesome product. It get the crapkicked out of it.
