Augustine: Political Writings (Hackett Classics)

I got this book for a class on ancient and medieval political thought, with which I had little background (my philosophy pre-req course was a joke). I was pleasantly surprised with the translation. It was easy to read and easy to understand, with a very casual tone. Unlike a lot of philosophy translations, which tend to be condescending or go out of their way to be convoluted, this one was like a conversation with a friend. Very modern and easy to use for reference and discussion.
