747-8 Intercontinental Sunrise Livery Snap-Together Model

It is made of plastic (there is no metal on the aircraft itself), but a heavily weighted body and it is all professionally done. It is manufactured by Hogan Wings (I asked this question before I purchased). I have many models made by Hogan and all are superior to other plastic models I own made by other companies. The base is wood and the support is metal (if you are buying from the Boeing Store, the wooden base with metal support are an extra touch that also includes a plaque that can be attached to the wooden base that gives the aircraft's manufacturer's [Boeing] designation [747-8] along with the Boeing emblem.) Overall, this is an awesome model well worth the price, in my opinion.

This model is beautiful 1:200 size about 36 cm long solid and heavy very intricate. The wheels roll and the propeller blades spin. I can just sit and marvel at it. I would have given it five stars but the stand is sort of wobbly the connection to the plane ie. even when screwed in tightly and the landing gears are a little inferior in addition the nose gear door when attached is very difficult to remove so be careful not to push it in too hard (had to use a screwdriver to pry it out). Nevertheless it is a top quality model plane.

I love this model! I plan on getting the entire current collection of Boeing model aircraft. My wife said I was like a little kid when I opened it. My children also like to look at it. Might have even inspired one of them into becoming a pilot.

It is the best model I have in my collection so far. It looks so good next to my a380. I would recommend it to people who love Boeing 747s / big aircraft and for "eye candy" at home. It is perfect for aviation lovers... like me!!!

Boeing did again in building a fine aircraft. This model is so reallike that its a great addition to my desk at work.
