As someone who spends long hours at a desk and has been struggling with a bad back, I decided it was time to invest in a standing desk solution. After some research, I opted for the VIVO 107 cm Desk Converter, and I am absolutely delighted with my purchase. I'm giving it a full 5 stars!From the moment it arrived, I was impressed. The setup was incredibly straightforward. I was a bit worried I'd be spending my afternoon with complicated instructions and a bag full of screws, but it was practically ready to use straight out of the box. All I had to do was attach the keyboard tray, which took less than 10 minutes.The main reason for buying this was to have the flexibility to switch between sitting and standing, and I'm hoping this will make a real difference to my back pain. The mechanism for raising and lowering the desk is brilliant. It's assisted by gas springs, so it requires very little effort to lift, even with my large monitor, laptop, speakers, and other bits and pieces on it. A simple squeeze of the handle on the side, and it glides up or down to the desired height smoothly and quietly.The build quality feels really solid and stable, both in the sitting and standing positions. There's no wobble, which was a key concern for me. The surface area is generous; as you can see from my pictures, it easily accommodates my widescreen monitor and laptop, with plenty of space left over. The separate keyboard and mouse tray is also a great feature, as it keeps my typing posture comfortable and ergonomic.Overall, I can't recommend this desk converter enough. It's a high-quality, well-designed, and easy-to-use piece of kit that has transformed my workspace. If you're looking for an affordable and effective way to create a sit-stand setup, look no further.

I have been looking at standing desk options for quite some time, but could find nothing that gave me the required space, the option of converting my existing desk was a solution at the fraction of the cost of buying a replacement desk.On delivery I was surprised at how heavy the convertor was, it is very sturdy and robust. Assembly is extremely easy - four screws secure the keyboard shelf in position, fit the rubber feet and you're ready to go! Cut the cable tie holding the shelf in position, with no weight on it the assembly rises like a rocket - scared the living dayights out of me! By the time the shelf is loaded with a monitor, laptop and odds & sods etc the rate of rise is more sedate!Raising the convertor is achieved by operating a lever on the right hand side - you therefore need to make sure there is clearance on the right-hand side of the convertor to access the lever easily - 3 to 4" is sufficient.Lowering the convertor is achieved by operating the lever and pushing down on the convertor monitor shelf, there is a latch on the right of the convertor to secure the assembly on the fully down position.In the raised position the convertor is very stable - even at maximum height it would require considerable effort to knock it over!The keyboard shelf is a good size - large enough for a full size keyboard, mouse and A5 notepadPractically in everyday use it is great - so much easier and relaxing to be able to stand and move around particularly when in meetings and still be able to use the keyboard/mouse and take notes as required.Great buy - only regret not buying this earlier!

Great item, easily adjusted, nice finish on the material. One thing (my personal opinion) would be a tiny bit more support for the bottom shelf.

Perfect standing desk for my home office. I was conscious that I was sat down for too long when working from home so got this after reading the reviews. Incredibly easy to set up with easy to follow instructions. It has a weight limit, and I’ve got a fairly heavy Phillips 32” monitor, but I checked the weight of the monitor before purchasing this and it was within the weight guidelines with capacity to spare.It’s so easy to lower and higher the platform .. even with the weight of the monitor - just make sure you’re stood right next to it not bending forward towards it, or you could hurt your back. I stand behind the platform which is close to the edge of the desk, put my left hand on the handle, my right hand further along the back of the platform and whilst squeezing the handle, use that and my right hand to gently lift it up. The hydraulics help immensely. When putting it back down at the end of the day I just make sure that my keyboard cable (which is clipped to the underside of the platform with the provided clips) is clear of the metal frame so it doesn’t get trapped when the platform lowers. To lower it just squeeze the handle, give a little push and down it goes with ease.You can adjust the height to anything you want (obviously within the perameters set) but I’ve found this goes high enough for me (at 5’5) and it does go even higher than that.Build quality is excellent and doesn’t take up much more footprint on the desk than my monitor/laptop/keyboard setup did.Would recommend for those who want to alternate between sitting and standing during the day. I’m not sure if there is a “shelf life” for the hydraulics system but I guess time will tell.Excellent value for money.

Best purchase I've made on Amazon. I've been wanting a standing desk for a while and this really does the job well. I have a large screen (32") as I am a photo and video editor, and this is a great size to hold it. It lifts up quite tall too. I'm 5ft1 so I don't need it mega high, but my partner is 6ft and even he can use it comfortably and at the right height. Easy to set up, easy to use and great quality. Just what I needed.

It's not perfect, but still gets five stars for doing a great job at a very reasonable price. The good: well designed and hydraulic arm and cable seem to be sturdy and function well. Easy to use at different heights and also to close and store. Not so good: 1. Shelf for keyboard doesn't retract, so sticks out a lot and gets in the way. I have removed it (you have to screw it on anyway when it arrives) and just put my laptop stand on it (and monitor stand too when needed). I'm over 6 ft and this works fine. 2. Surface of the desk is shiny - things can move or slip off it easily. If facing a window light/sunshine/glare reflects off it. Also worth noting - it takes a bit of welly to get the desk down because of the hydraulic arm. So if you are short and frail this may not be the best option for you. But overall I think it's fab!

I’ve had this for some time now and I’ve found it to be really good.Easy to put together and goes up and down very easily too.The only thing I found was I could have done with one that went slightly higher. I’m 6’ and found my 26”’screen was ever so slightly too low but I just bought a small glossy shelf to sit on the desk and raise the screen up a couple of inches.

Personally, my boyfriend wanted this as he wanted to stand up more during work. The movement of the stand is very easily used and could sustain a good amount of weight. Functionality is pretty easy to use with a lever going up and down and fit perfectly into his office environment. However, just the weight of the product itself is just a little heavy to carry around.

Great product! I hardly write reviews, but this product is just really good! It works great, you can easily put it up and down, the quality is really nice, and the price is really affordable if you compare it to a standing desk. Recommended!

I was looking to get an electric stand up desk and then saw these desktop options and decided to try this one. I was worried about how stable it would feel, but after using it for about a month now, I have no concerns about that at all. I find this unit to be well constructed and the base/legs that it sits on is large enough so it still feels solid when fully raised.This unit was easy to assemble by myself and is easy to raise and lower. I am 6' tall and this unit gets to a height that is comfortable for me to work at when standing. I ordered the 32" version and it can accommodate my laptop and 21" monitor. It could probably handle a slightly larger monitor. The keyboard tray has plenty of room for a full keyboard and mouse.The 32" version is definitely 32" wide. I was having some difficulty trying to find the real depth of the unit. The desk I am using is 23.5" deep. This 32" unit is actually a bit deeper than that at 24", but the base that sits on the desk is only 16" so it sits solidly on my desk and the keyboard tray just overhangs a little bit.If you already have a solid desk and want a stand up desk, then I would highly recommend this unit. It is much more affordable than an electric stand up desk.

Nachdem meine Frau am Rücken operiert wurde und beim arbeiten nur schlecht sitzen kann, stand die Entscheidung an einen höhenverstellbaren Schreibtisch zu kaufen oder eben so etwas. Letztendlich haben wir uns hierfür entscheiden und es bis jetzt nicht bereut. Der Platz ist für unsere Zwecke ausreichend ( iMac, Tastatur, Maus, diverser Bürokram ). Die Höhenverstellung ist stufenlos und sehr einfach bedienbar. Sowohl für mich (1,80 ) sowie meine Frau ( 1,67 ) lässt sich somit die optimale Arbeitshöhe einstellen. Beim Runterlassen muss man ein wenig drücken, aber auch das geht recht einfach.Damit ist das Arbeiten im Sitzen und Stehen kein Problem mehr. Wir würden diesen Aufsatz wieder kaufen.

I purchased this desk converter 2 years ago, when I decided it would be best to stand while working in the office, instead of sitting like I had done for years. Especially after an accident caused back issues. I still utilize it while standing, but it can be raised and lowered based on preference and height.REGARDING ASSEMBLY:It was very easy to assemble, although the pieces are a little heavy. I don't consider myself stronger than average, and was able to assemble myself.REGARDING FUNCTIONALITY & QUALITY:Very sturdy. I have two 17" monitors on stands on the top part. There is plenty of extra space for papers and materials, etc. The keyboard stand is big, and would fit an oversized keyboard, and still have extra space. I am 5'7" and with the desk stand raised up all the way, the monitors are eye level and my arms are at a perfect 90 degree angle when using the keyboard. When raising the stand, there is some resistance and you really have to use your arm & back muscles. At first, I thought I would lower it everyday before I leave, but not worth the effort lol. It's not too bad, I don't view it as a negative, because it is really sturdy. The stand does not wobble, move, shake or anything, even when I lean on it.I actually love this and it's worth the money. Two years later, it is still like new. A few months ago, we ended up purchasing 3 more, for other office employees that requested one. They all have the same feedback as mentioned above, except for they are different heights- no one taller than me.
