Exactly what I needed.
What this IS: a graduated compression stocking for your wrist only. What this is NOT: not a brace, not immobilizing, not for your thumb, and not something that will work if it’s the wrong size. These are supposed to be tight. If it’s loose, it’s not working. Measuring and getting it right is really important, or else it’s just a sock. Please learn about graduated compression and how to use it before trying something like this. I broke my wrist about 5 years ago, and recently strained it again and the old injury is hurting again. I’m in constant pain for about 3 weeks now. I’ve been wrapping it with a sport wrap to get enough compression to stop the pain without making it worse, which is hard. I’ve used graduated compression stockings for years to control leg pain since my car accident, so I hoped this would help my wrist as well. After wearing this glove overnight, I woke up not in pain this morning for the first time in weeks. The graduated compression for my wrist was EXACTLY what I needed. It provides just enough pressure to stop the pain and remind me not to turn my wrist in a way that will make it worse. I also have been wearing it underneath the immobilizing brace during the day, as it makes the brace about 10 times more comfortable. As someone who has used a lot of compression stockings for my legs for years and know the ups and downs, I’m impressed with the quality, comfort, and effectiveness of this compression product for the wrist. This NOT an immobilizing brace. It’s a graduated compression glove. If you need a graduated compression glove for your wrist, this is wonderful. If you have a new injury or fracture, you might need an immobilizing brace, and this is not that. This is something to wear under one of those braces if compression is also needed. I just see all these reviews where people were choosing the wrong tool for their needs and getting mad and leaving 1-star reviews because of their own ignorance and error. It’s not the hammer’s fault if what you really needed was a screwdriver! Would you leave 1-star reviews for a hammer because it couldn’t turn a screw? No, because that’s not what a hammer is for. Choose the right tool, you’ll be much happier with the result. If you need a brace, get a brace. If you need graduated compression for your wrist that won’t hurt your fingers, get THIS. It’s perfect, it really is, and I’m ordering several more.

Nice support
Great compression support for hand and thumb. I have a repetitive injury strain that resulted in tendonitis, this works great as a step down from a brace. It is thin enough that I can comfortably wear gloves over it.

... - they have helped out and fit just fit fine. I'm concerned about my first glove though
I've bought 2 of these gloves for my constant Neuropathy - they have helped out and fit just fit fine. I'm concerned about my first glove though, the non-stretching material seems to be getting worn out a bit? I wear them while working and gaming, i will add though the second glove seems to be doing better as far as wear (fingers crossed) with the non-stretching material. Are these supposed to be tossed and bought again after a while if worn most of the day / really put to the test like i do? Anyway, I'm good with them so far. Maybe I'll update this review later. ***** Update ***** It's been a couple of years since I first decided to invest in these support gloves. I'd like to be able to say my pain has improved, but nope. However, I have gotten help here and there and these gloves are have been a help on my most trying days. How does it work? Well, I was discussing that very issue with my Neurologist recently and though the gloves are best when they're snug enough to feel like thin layer of compression, with the slightest bit of warmth, I think there's also a bit of the placebo effect going on here. When my hands are especially bad, sometimes just wearing the gloves can numb it slightly, and I'll take all the relief I can get-and at that point, it might be a mind over matter thing. Let me mention this though -if you ever have swollen hands, these gloves can work backwards, actually worsening a circulation problem in your hands. But I think you can tell fairly quickly if it's a bad time to wear the gloves, and maybe a better time to utilize a different method of pain relief. How durable are they years later? Well, I have yet to throw ANY of mine away, though as I mentioned before, they do get a little worn out-material and elasticity-wise, depending on use. I only have a few that I consider 'bad'-but I never toss them -because I'm constantly misplacing the things, so if I'm rushing out the door, or maybe just don't have time to look, these backup 'bad/used' gloves are good to have. Realize that the gloves are what they are, they won't cure any underlying condition you have, but may be a help to get you through a work day or tough evening after hours. I would replace them with fresh ones when they start to get frayed or lose their compression factor, but suggest keeping any used ones around 'just in case'.

This support saved my professional classical guitarist career.
Best flexible wrist and hand support available. Being a 67 year old female classical guitarist that still performs publicly 2 - 3 times weekly, I needed something to "hold together" my hand and thumb. A hand injury many years ago left my right-hand connective tissue weak, very painful and less than desirable. Every doctor I saw told me to "forget ever playing guitar any more", "you are done - face up to it", "time to hang it up, guitar playing isn't that important", "there is no known form of treatment to cure what you have", "maybe we could try surgery......". Thank goodness, doctors have no idea what they are talking about. Solution: I first apply hydrocortisone 1% Crm, (available OTC) followed by a coat of zinc oxide powder (available on amazon) to my affected area then slip on this support. The support fits fairly tight but not too tight to inhibit circulation or coordination. The combination of the firm support from the device with the medicinal effect of the hydrocortisone and zinc oxide have kept me about 80% symptom free for the 2++ years since I have been using it. I am currently on my "3rd NeoG" (shouldn't they give me the next one free?). Prior to starting with the NeoG and HC/ZO, I unsuccessfully tried to find a support that would first of all STOP THE PAIN and work without getting in the way of fingering a classical guitar. With the NeoG and the HC/ZO, there are very few difficult fingering positions that I cannot achieve. If I did not have the NeoG, my guitar would be sitting in its case or up for sale on the internet and I would be hanging out at some day care center for the elderly doing arts and crafts with my left hand (OMG no). Many people who play musical instruments have taken my recommendations on this device. Even some persons who do not play an instrument. Besides all this hype, this product will not put you in the poor house like many other supports price tags that take you to the cleaners. I still live in the poor-house, but at least I am in a house, the poor house is better than no house.

Comfortably supportive on one hand, but not the other - Seems to run small
This support seems reasonably well made. I purchased this as a support for my left wrist, but my right sometimes has the same wrist ligament issues. For me, the advantage in the design is that as I also have arthritis in my thumb, so it provides light support to my thumb as well. Interestingly, it fits my left hand, but is too small for my right (dominant) hand. When I tried it on my right hand, first the top half was painfully tight and the wrist area good. But, soon, the bottom half was also too tight. For my left hand, the top half felt a little tight at first, but seemed ok after a few minutes. The bottom half was comfortably supportive. I would be concerned that if I wanted one for my right hand, a medium might be too big. Left hand 5 3/4" over wrist bone, 7" over hand knuckles Right hand 5 7/8" over wrist bone 6 7/8 over hand knuckles I measured these on myself, so there is probably an accuracy issue but those are the number I got. Over the day, I find the Neo G supportive. But I still have issues with pain with some movements - I tried folding the cuff back over itself to provide more support. And that does work somewhat, but I still get the pain. But I can't blame this product as it is a support, not a brace. So, I guess I'm still looking for the ideal solution.

Perfect & functional
I bought one for my sister & she has had a week to try it out. She does not have Carpal Tunnel but over a year ago she fractured her thumb joint right where it connects to her hand & has had excruciating, crying all night, white knuckled pain just moving her thumb...long past the point when the doctor says it is healed & she should be pain free aside from (minor arthritis). She was given a clumsy stiff metal filled brace that she has given herself facial bruises behind and is actually more painful to wear & causes it to swell even more. As an artist attempting to hold onto a paint brush, or coffee, gently squeezing the toothpaste, or any number of daily activities that involve gripping grabbing squeezing lifting... Being in the middle of a 2 year long, one room at a time, house repair with a hand that can't tolerate bumping & a joint that is still 3x the size of the others has been beyond challenging. I had spent several weeks online researching styles of compression sleeves & had almost given up finding one that had this style of thumb support without being an actual glove, 100's of images in google but non-functional links so I was delighted to find these on amazon although wary of what we might receive by way of quality. OMG the first night she actually slept the night through & the week of wearing it most of the time has given her 70 to 80% reduced pain. the compression is perfect, her swelling is way down & there is no bulk to get in the way, she says it keeps her joints warm enough without making her hand sweat. We are both so thrilled with the results I just ordered 3 more... my daughter, who has similar issues from an old hand to wrist injury & as a bookkeeper can't really wear a brace while typing, will get one of these to try. Edit 6/29/17: 3rd purchase- Ordered 3 more, gave 2 away as gifts & kept one for myself -Still impressed with the quality & I have referred several friends with similar hand, tendon, nerve & arthritis issues. My sister is elbow deep in dirt & gardening these days so she hand washes these & rotates them... Keeping one nice one in the box for dressier occasions & these are close fitting so she can still wear bracelets & not feel too conspicuous. My daughter is equally pleased with these & really appreciates not having to wear the stiff braces that are so restrictive.

Provides support, Tight fit, good product.
Just to be clear, The product is the least tightest at the wrist and more tight near the space where the thumb and hand meet and the area above the wrist. Not sure if its just with the one I received but I thought someone should know before reading the rest of my review. Its just as a precaution. This may explain the reason behind my type of review. This is not a biased review. Its just my experience with the product. You may want more support. This does not "squeeze" the wrist in comparison to the tightness of other regions on this product. Very useful. I bought this and when It arrived, It looked too small like "I can't fit this!" small, but when I put this on, it fit just right! Its a stretch-fit. Just measure your wrist, pick what corresponds with your measurements and you should be fine. You can alternate hands and you will not feel the difference! It has versatility. Gives you a great amount of support. I cut my thumb on the side of it by accident. The bone stopped the blade from cutting it off. It healed but the nerves will never be the same. Clearly an accident! It slipped! The main reason I wear this is to help with the pens and needles I feel when I press too hard with it or hit the tip of the thumb. I sprain my wrist sometimes and its excellent for that too! Didn't think it would help for these issues I have but it did just that. Its a great product in my opinion. As for usage, your can wear a glove over top of this. If you have work gloves or its wintertime and you need to use this- No problem! This thing is like a second skin. Its so close to your hand and wrist that it will be contour enough to fit most if not all the gloves you wear. Its not bulky or uncomfortable. Pros: Gives support where you need it, Allows free range of movement for fingers. Allows your wrist to breath. Cons: In the dead-of-heat, you will still sweat with this on. Tight, snug fit may get uncomfortable after a while. Even though its in your size, may still be a tight fit and may become an annoyance rather than a relief. This isn't a bad product, its great! It all boils down to personal preference and whether or not you want something like this.
