A Book of Pagan Rituals

An old standard of the time, essential reference, seeing as it's cited in many similar books. Not the densest or most informative read, but a quick and necessary one.

While the rituals mentioned in the book are descriptive and informative, i had thought a name like Book of Pagan Rituals would have held a more robust library of chants, practices, and ceremony. What's in the book can be found in any other writings having to do with paganism or Wicca, but those books would have included more relative reading.You might like this book for what it is. It is well laid out. I just found there to be too much unnecessary text.

I love this book, give it away to people who are interested in Paganism and Wicca, and buy myself a new copy. A Book of Pagan Rituals saved my soul in 1989, and I go back and read it frequently because it's that good.Written by Ed Fitch, it is full of good, positive, very usable rituals. It is one of the first books I know of, to include Solitary Rituals for each of the Sabbats. And the Self Blessing is beyond compare.This is a book meant to be used, and it is enjoyable to do so!

I bought this book as something to learn what pagan's do during a ritual. It is interesting to read. Will I learn anything other than knowing how they did their rituals back in the dark ages? I have no idea. Still it is an interesting book to read.

Loved the simplicity of this book. It transposed me to a secret garden and told me to become the gardener.You get out of the soil what you put into the soil, just as in your life. Rediscover the Magick!!!

I love the look of this book, the color and lettering has an ancient pagan feel. its chock full of pagan rituals and life as a pagan, one of the best book on paganism that is simplified on who we are and our way of life. this is a book every pagan and non pagan need to have should they wish to do some research on paganism, while this is not the holy grail on paganism its still a lovely book and I love the look, feel and energy of it.

I gave two stars because the book only really had information on wicca, not general paganism, but It did have info that could be modified for non Wiccan pagans, besides that I would say the book isn't really worth it unless you are Wiccan, it does have alot of information, so I would recommend it to Wiccans,just not any pagan who isn't Wiccan

実際に所属している結社などの儀式スクリプトは、その中で使うのには適しているのだけれども、メンバー以外の人物が含まれている場合には儀式を開示出来ない場合が多い。もしくはロッジマスターの許可を得る必要がある。しかし実際には他の組織のメンバーと友人であったり、共にペイガンとして一緒に儀式魔術を行う機会がある。そういった場合にはこのように出版されて開示されたスクリプトがあると、そういう秘守義務的な部分を避けることができるので重宝する。この書籍は字も大きく（実際にスクリプトを持って儀式魔術をやる際には、室内や屋外が暗いときもあって字が見やすいのは重宝するのだ）て役割とスピーチがきっちりわかりやすく字下げされていて、使いやすい。巻末には基本的なエレメンタルの象徴体系や、五芒星を使った追難（ついな）の方法などまとめられている。英語でペイガニズムの儀式をするには実用的で優れた書籍だといえる。

Lovely and informative book. Took a while to arrive because of the current situation but seller was very communicative and helpful.

Good book to have if you are engaged in rituaal activity and looking for structure and guidance for being effective in what you do..

I was recommended this book by a Gardenarian priestess and am very glad to have taken her advice. Its written beautifully and is a little snippet of when the early neo-pagan movement was still very experimental and not as rigid with its ritual forms. Good table of charts and correspondences at the back as well as a few worth while essays.
