Vlom had different seals
All worked but wasn't the right vlom gasket for the tower seals.

NOT CORRECT FOR CYLINDER-DEACTIVATION ENGINES--Need separate gasket purchase
Amazon says "Confirmed fit" for 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500" (5.3L, 8th digit of VIN 3 engine code) This engine has the "Displacement on Demand" cylinder-deactivation system. This gasket set does not include the proper gasket for the top cover that includes the solenoids that activate/deactivate the lifters for the four cylinders that get shut-off. Has the ordinary gasket that just seals the non-cylinder-deactivation top cover. APPARENTLY, Fel-Pro expects you to purchase "MS 96871" oil manifold gasket separately. The intake gaskets are very different from OEM--these have a metal carrier with rubber around the ports. The ports are the right shape. But the OEM gaskets use a plastic carrier that snaps into place on the intake manifold, these intake gaskets appear to be held on with a couple of bolts. They're "different" but I don't know if they'll work. We'll try 'em and see what happens. OEM exhaust manifold gaskets were multi-layer steel. These are paper/fiber. Did not inspect the O-rings and small parts. Did not look at head gaskets.

Far less expensive than OEM and in kit form. You are required to buy each separately from OEM sources. Fel-Pro quality is never in doubt.
