2013 Christmas

Cute little tree-topper. It's is under $15, so don't go expecting a glorious luxurious ornament. It is a simple foreign made Christmas tree ornament. We have a plump 7 foot tree, n it fits fine. I've read some the reviews before buying - and couldn't help laughing. If you all ultra plcky n whine about everything then, caveat emptour. If you want a simple little ornament to bind the Christian/Jewish holiday season, then here you. Mazel n Merry Christmas.

Perhaps I didn't picture the size properly, but I'm not crazy about this tree topper for a full size "Hanukkah Bush" (our interfaith family's name for our Christmas Tree). It's small, too light weight, and very plasticky; which makes it difficult to get it to sit properly on our 6 ft tree. The "spring" that is supposed to fit over the top of the tree is very short so the Star of David bends to the left quite a bit. I am keeping it though, because it's fun to finally have something that stands out and really makes it look more in line with the way we celebrate the holidays. On Christmas Eve we will just switch to the Angel Tree Topper so that the pictures come out well and the tree doesn't look crooked. PROS: - It arrived very quickly - It's very hard to find Jewish/interfaith ornaments and tree toppers, so I really appreciate that it's available. - It didn't cost a lot, so I'm not giving it the 2 Stars I would have if it cost more, you get what you pay for. - It would look great on a smaller (4 1/2 ft or under) tree. CONS: - The "spring" that is supposed to fit over the top of the tree is much too short so it doesn't have the support to stand upright on a typical tree. - It's cheap, lightweight, plastic - On a full size tree it looks pretty small (but again they listed the size so that's my fault for not being able to picture it well). I wish they would offer a larger, sturdier option made out of a better quality material with a longer base. I would definitely buy that and know quite a few other families that would as well.

I love it!!! Just received it. I have no idea why people are not happy. These comments almost made me not to order it, but I am glad I did. It is heavy and big, and looks very nice. Sure it will look awesome on my tree.

Contrary to some other reviews, it looks quite presentable, both in terms of paint quality and overall look and feel. I'm happy with it. And I certainly am happy with its weight -- it took a bit of effort to get the top "branch" of my 5-foot fake tree to support its weight, and had it been metal, it would probably have never stayed up.

I'm not understanding many of the poor reviews on this product. Nowhere does it claim that the star is made of metal -- only the coil. This is a fun tree topper that is perfect for a Hanukkah Bush or Jewish Christmas Tree. I ordered mine in 2009 and I had a great experience with customer service. There was a shipping error, but Interfaith Decorations was quick to respond to me and remedy the situation. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 out of 5 is that when placing my Topper on our tree this past week, it snapped at the base. I blame myself for trying to bend it in a way that I probably shouldn't have, but with a little bit of glue it was fine and will make it through the holiday season. Again, at the price I paid for it, I'm more than happy that I'm going to get a good 4 years of use without any problems --you can't say that about much these days. If you're looking for stainless steel type topper, you can probably find one for twice as much as this product, but if you're looking for a nice looking, sturdy, well priced product, look no further. Great product, great company and I look forward to ordering a new one come next Hanukkah.

I was hesitant to buy this since some of the other reviews were negative, but I'm glad I gave it a try. This is a very nice tree topper! Some reviews were complaining about it being too light, but this is solidly built - if it was a 10 pound chunk of steel it wouldn't stay balanced on the tree. For anyone considering getting this type of tree topper, I highly recommend it!

I don't really get the negative reviews regarding this item. I purchashed it last xmas for our Jewish/Christian household and was very satisfied. It looked great on our tree and we got lots of compliments from our family and friends. Yes, it's plastic and doesn't have lights but the description doesn't state otherwise. If you want a beautiful sparkly high quality item, this isn't it. However, if you want an attractive & decorative star of david that will look good on your tree, buy this product!

I love this product, we are very glad that we bought it. It is hard to find anything like this in stores, so we were lucky to find it here. We are a family of converts so it is nice to have a way to bring both traditions together and makes for a festive holiday season.
