It works. No defects. Slightly tricky to figure out.
It's legit! Made by Bolle it says on box. When you get it, it literally takes about 400 opens ans closes to break in. It tried to come off the hinges. You have to push it back. After a while it stops that then works as intended. Very smooth. High durability plastic or polymer. Def recommend. I love mine.

Great visor after adding hydrophobic treatment for use in the rain
When I first attached this to the Vertex helmet I experienced the same issue as a previous review, the Vizir easily flipped up but did not easily flip back down. Somehow this problem went away on its own. Perhaps the plastic detent tabs that hold the Vizir up require a bit of use to break in, or maybe the Vizir is designed to be flipped down using both hands. I also added the protector, which forces you to use the finger tabs on the corner of the Vizir. In any case, it started to work fine after the first day.The anti-fog coating seems to work well but the lens does not have a hydrophobic coating on the exterior, so the view gets distorted by water sticking to the lens if it is used in rain. I spend at least half my time working at night, so I applied Rain-X Plastic Water Repellent (do not use the standard Rain-X made for glass windshields) and it seems to work fine.My biggest complaint is headlamp compatibility, though this is more an issue with the protective shield rather than the Vizir itself. The shield has a slot for a proprietary clip that accepts Petzl's Professional-series headlamps (Duo, Pixa) but no provision for other headlamps. I already own the Petzl Nao+, which can only be attached without the Vizir protector shield and then you can't flip the Vizir up. Only Petzl Sport headlamps are available with Reactive Lighting tech, which is ideal for the kind of work I'm doing at night, so I'll probably find a way to customize the protective shield to hold the Nao+.

Great visor stays attached to helmet
They work great!!!Stays attached, do not fall off and work well. I am really glad I found these they not only stay on but stay balanced.

Not great connection point
Visor does the job but the connection point at the pivot point keeps popping in and out on one side. Not the most robust.

Decent shield but finicky
I bought the shield for my helmet a while ago I wanted the tinted one but I wasn’t sure on cloudy days so I figured I would just wear sunglasses underneath it provides really good protection but you have to press the side handles the these little buttons to bring it down or up and unfortunately those are also the buttons to remove it from your helmet so often times climbing in a tree I would accidentally remove it from my helmet and have to try to connect it onto my head . But beware because I just ordered a second one for my coworker and I got a completely used one that was all scratched up it was in a bag but it looks like it had to have been used or drug down the road somewhere

Expensive. Horrid design for attachment/detachment in the field.
For something that is modular if it is going to be expensive it better be quick. I wanted something that could be quickly added as needed and stored to minimize scratches. It is ridiculously expensive, difficult to install and remove in the field, and does not come with any case or cover if you leave it on to keep it from being scratched. I would not recommend.

Good Product
The visor was easy-ish to install on the helmet and is definitely secure.I will probably carry a backup as well. Not sure how durable the visor will be with day to day use.
