Top Dog in our pest control regimen against carpet beetles and aphids
I love this product, and mine is years old and still working. As I order more I see the price has skyrocketed! Seeing some of the reviews that are not 5 stars, it appears they are trying to use it for issues that require Diatamacious Earth DE. This product works for carpet beetles, and outside for many plant pests, like aphids. For indoor and patio areas, I use DE. It works for bed bugs (just in case we bring anything home from the gym or travel), fleas, and cockroaches. We also use roach motels. Unfortunately, we still need to use hot shot ant spray sometimes in spots where they can enter the house under the foundation to get pet food in the summer. For outdoor soil dwelling awful problem of CHIGGERS (which come from voles mostly, near food growing usually) CASTOR OIL in the dirt is the only thing that works.

Great for off-label use!
Firstly, this is labelled as an agricultural insecticide, and I didn't use it for that. I used it to kill two common household pests, and a seasonal one, and a less common one. Now that that's out of the way...it killed three of them (one of the common household pests, the less common one, and the seasonal one). The things to remember are: 1. if you're using it by itself, in a water base (which by no means do you have to), it will not stop your misery instantaneously - you'll continue to see them for about a week, but they'll stop feeding before then. 2. Only mix up as much as you plan on using: mixtures more than a day old will putrefy and there's no way to prevent this without killing your spores or adding something else. Another thing is that if you're like me, you'll probably have an allergic reaction to it if you're using it in and around places you sleep - not anything life-threatening, but very much like a cold. I was a fan. Pricy, but its cheaper than an extermination and unlike chemical insecticides, pests don't know better than to run away from mold spores.

Seems to have solved my indoor pest problem
I bought this product after reading reviews and blogs regarding the treatment of a dreaded indoor pest that no one likes to talk about. I had purchased a pesticide in liquid and powder form but since these bugs hide under wood trim and crevices it's impossible to make contact with all of them. Miss just one and before you know it, the population explodes again. Also, I'm just not comfortable spraying all that chemical and chemical powder in the house, especially the bedrooms. With this product, 1 tablespoon mixed with 1 gallon of 70 degree water in a garden sprayer is enough to treat my entire house. Don't make the water too warm or it may kill the spores. I don't feel concerned about applying this to upholstered furniture, even the sides of the mattresses and box springs. I also spray around the window, door trim, baseboards and a 2" wide spray around the perimeter of the room and area rugs. Initially, I treated once per week for 3 weeks. 4 days after the 1st treatment my daughter found a live adult in her room. I was not too concerned because it does take a few days after the insect comes in to contact with the fungal spore to die. 17 days later we have not seen any of these yucky pests, which tells me that those buggers that came in contact with the spores carried the infection back to the place they harbor. This product is said to remain active for 3 months, however I will try to re-treat once a month as my husband travels for work and stays in hotels often. Not that he's ever seen them in any of the hotel rooms he stays in but it only takes one getting into his luggage to reintroduce them. We never did identify how we got these pests in our home. Possibly from the kids spending the night at a friend's house. Seriously they are so common, lots of people get them. I will update if my victory is short-lived but for now I'd say this product is the way to go.

Not what it claims to be
Theirs is very scant % of actual Bauevaria spores, mostly grey mold grows. I sprayed my plants and the fruit started to rot (tomatoes, peaches). I sprayed trees for aphids - no effect. I would not recommend this product, and I will not be buying it again. Itโs expensive and useless.

No expiration date on latest purchase
Again, I am making a change to my post. The initial 5-star review was based heavily on previous experience. Several years ago, there was an infestation that was apparently knocked back using this product. It so happens that these beasties can survive for years wrapped in plastic bags. After recently opening one with clothing packed long ago, there was a new infestation; so again, I ordered Botanigard from Amazon. It has taken two months of steady spraying, but finally, no sign for several weeks. I am hopeful. I did increase the spray application to daily in any area that is frequented nightly by mammalian inhabitants. An unpleasant chore, but less so than having Bee-Bees in the house. But the 5-star review is still being downgraded by one star because there is no expiration date marked on the package, which makes me suspicious. Did it take so long to get positive results because the product was outdated? I'll never know. PREVIOUSLY: I am amending my previous post. Past purchases have been effective. The latest purchase did NOT have an expiration date. Nor does it seem to be particularly effective. Perhaps the latest package has expired. No way to know. Previous post: There are some reviews that discount this item as useless. NOT my experience. There is one dreaded pest whose name I will not utter, where I have found it is the ONLY product to actually bring this scourge to an end. Not immediately. It takes a week or two, and should be repeated monthly for at least a year. I have found these critters can easily do without food, not for months, but for YEARS. They even try to successfully to chew through plastic garbage bags. In my experience, there has been no deleterious effect on me or my pets. My husband did get a mild skin rash that was easily cured by an antifungal cream. I do wear a mask when applying by spray bottle, a teaspoon or so of the powder in about 1-1/2 cups of water. Spray around affected areas. I use it three or four days apart for about two weeks. Do realize this product is not rated to solve this problem, but it does. The dreaded BEE-BEE's. Good luck.

Kills all kinds of bugs. Especially nesting bugs.
I bought it for coffee borer beetle when I lived in Hawaii. As a side effect, it killed all of the ants and termites. It works so well because it is a fungus and when one of the bugs are infected, they take it back to the nest and infect the whole colony. Also, it is biologically safe for organic use. It is a natural product all over the world but usually ineffective until contact. That is one reason it is not as good for flying insects. I have been using it for about 5 years and love it. I have moved back to the mainland and will be using it on my garden. Phil

Follow the directions
I used this after doing my own online research and it worked for me. We had a bedbug and a bird mite issue in the house we moved into. It is a half double which was already infested, according to my neighbor. The landlord neglected to take care of the issue properly. This did everything and more. I even used it for my next door neighbor and she hasn't seen a bed bug in months. I mixed the amount I needed and sprayed every two weeks. The 2nd week we saw a bed bug crawling on the walls with white fungus attached to it. Which we quickly dispatched and the following month we would see little fungus balls on the carpet. It did give everyone in my home the sniffles after I sprayed. We opened the windows just a little everyday for that, I can say for me it is well worth the money. I hope this helps someone else get a good night sleep.

Fiendishly difficult to maintain proper humidity in my home.
Anyone considering trying this for indoor bed bug elimination should understand that the spores cannot remain viable in less than 50% humidity. Living in a desert climate in the winter I had to keep a huge pot of steaming water on the stove to get any results. After about a month of use and trying different methods I have managed to kill only about half the population. I have given in and purchased the oil suspension Aprehend from a reputable DIY website. It's supposed to be able to work in less than 20% humidity. Keeping fingers crossed!
