They were useful, durable, sturdy, etc.
Toys like this depend on how much time you spend with your child, showing and teaching them what to do. With that said, they were useful, durable, sturdy, etc. Is it worth the time and money? Depends on the parent and, I guess, if they feel they really need it. I purchased it to be just some my daughter could mess around with. But to make it worth the money, felt I had to show/teach/test her so she would at least learn the correct ways to do these.

Looks like they'll easily last me another 2 years+
I bought these not too long before my son's first birthday... so 2 - 2 1/2 years ago now, and aside from surface scratches they look almost new. They have been mouthed, drooled on, thrown, fished out of tight spaces, etc. My son is a sensory child with global developmental delay. As such, there was almost nothing he was willing to touch as a baby; however, given their hard, smooth texture, these were some of the only toys he was willing to touch for awhile, and helped him develop both gross and fine motor skills. He has now largely caught up with the deficiencies he had with his motor skills, due in part to having these and a few other toys at home in addition to therapy.Yes, the lid just sits in place atop the shapes bucket, and is lifted off with no effort, but if you really want your kid to learn how to put the shapes in the hole, you can just sit down and prevent them from taking it off while working with them. My son still isn't there yet with shapes, but I don't really care that he can toss the top aside and dump out the shapes... it makes him happy.

Two of the best baby toys ever made
I am a huge fan of these two toys. My little girl absolutely loves them. We have a set at our house, the sitters, my parents, and my in-laws. These are great for so many reasons.1. Perfect for hand-eye coordination. The object is for your little one to stack the tubes and place the shapes in the bucket.2. Colorful and appealing to little ones eyes. Great for teaching colors.3. Sorting is huge skill for little ones. They learn their shapes and associate the shapes with each other. As they get older they can count the shapes and compare them.4. Hard plastic, nice a durable! My little one loves to chew on them. No little pieces to worry about choking problems. She also loves to bang them together to make noises. They are still in the same shape as when I received them.5. The handle makes it easy to bring with you or your little one can carry it around the house.6. The shape bucket has extra room so you can put other toys in it to store or bring it with you in the car, on vacation, or to the doctors office!I highly recommend these and the price was great! As a teacher, these toys have the potential to teach your little one so many skills.

Love it
At first I thought this toy might be a bit below my 21 month old's development, but she loved to put things in boxes and take them out. She also was still very into nesting blocks so for this price I decided to give this a try. She absolutely loves it and some of the shapes were a challenge for her at first. Even her three year old brother gets a kick out of it, I wish I had bought this sooner. They play together with it and he talks to her about the colors and tries to help her when she's having trouble. The lid on the box comes off easily so the child can dump out the pieces and start again. She absolutely loves the little handle and sometimes puts other toys inside of the box so that she can carry it around. Beautiful vibrant colors, not a toy that just gets shoved in a box and never played with. Highly recommend.

Not used for exact purpose but still great
I bought this set for my 6 month old last week. Haven't played too much with them since I've been so busy and we've mostly been out doing errands lately but the few times he's played with them he enjoys it. Hasn't fully gotten the concept of putting the blocks in the slots or the rings in the pole but he grabs the blocks and examines them and they're shape and likes to bang them to together to make loud noises or toss them inside the box. As for the rings he mostly just likes to chew on them or toss them around and hope they roll (he figured out that he could do that and he gets a real kick out of it). So, for the purpose of putting them a certain way, they have not been used but he still enjoys playing with them and he's learning more each time we play together. Overall, I love them and I think they're perfect for my curious little one.

A Good Deal When Bought Together
This rocking bundle is exactly what I was hoping for. Unlike cheaper versions that I've seen at Walmart, it is solidly built and safe for use. It is brightly colored and attractive to my 10 month old son and he loves the top ring that is clear with colored rattling beads inside it. He does not seem to care much about the fact that the toy rocks, but he is able to put the rings on the base regardless. I am really glad I bought the Fisher-Price bundle instead of a cheap knock-off.The blocks are fine - they are colorful, solidly made, and easy to grip. They fit easily into the slots in the case. That said, the case itself is somewhat cheaply made. The top does not latch on and is fairly loose, so its a little too easy to knock it over and spill its contents. I know the point is for kids to be able to remove the blocks easily, but it would be nice if it had a securable option. It's also rather small, which is nice for storage, but there's no room in it for other toys aside from the ones it was designed for so don't expect to use it for anything else. If this had not come as a combo deal, I probably would not have bought this block set.

My daughter's favorite toy
There's a reason why classic toys like these stay popular. The shapes are by far my 9 month old daughter's favorite toys! She loves to bang them together, hand them to me, and we have even played with them at the beach, pool, and bathtub. It's so easy to throw a few in my diaper bag to keep her entertained when we go food shopping or out to eat. She also loves to play with the stacking rings. While she is not yet using the shapes to insert in the shape holes or stack the rings, I can see the functionality of this toy lasting a long time as she develops. Who needs music, flashing lights, and fancy toys when these two simple toys can provide so much entertainment.

My son loves both of these. He's pretty young right now and loves the ring holder and the box for the blocks more than anything lol. In any regard, it keeps him entertained!
