I bought this external battery because my stinkin' iPhone 6S holds a charge about 3 hours (even after paying Apple 40 discounted dollars last year for a new battery).The phone fits nicely into the battery -- although the literature says repeatedly taking on and off the phone could damage the connection -- so it's meant to be put on and left on.The power is good. You charge the battery and the phone simultaneously. Then you run off the phone's power until it is diminished, then you can turn on the battery, which re-charges the phone. I haven't attempted multiple re-chargings without plugging in again, so I cannot speak to that.Unfortunately, I find that the phone's ability to receive and "hold" a call is greatly diminished when "wearing" the battery. For a couple of weeks I joked that my phone was good at everything except being a phone.I use the battery when I'm more interested in data and/or and less interested in phone calls. On a vacation, for instance, where you're not expecting calls.As a battery, the device is GREAT! As a part of a phone, one's usage has to be deliberate, in my experience one cannot and leave it.

If you are looking for an affordable charging case, buy this one now. It works great and has saved me from a dead phone many times. The only downside is that after using it for a while (6+ months), it will stop charging your phone and you are left with a normal case. At that point, you can afford to just but another one.

This extends my smart phone battery life and as a result has increased the usefully life of my smart phone. It does however triple the weight of the phone which I ca deal with because the phone still has a charge. The only negative is I listen to audible books a lot and the standard wired Apple earbud cable is constantly falling out or sending incorrect signals to the phone. It works great with a Bluetooth headset.

As with other reviewers, my charger pak began to malfunction within weeks after purchase. It’s a design problem. The charging sleeve that my iPhone slides into in set into a flexible rubber case. This soft case permits the sleeve to deflect in a manner that breaks contact with the iPhone charger tab. If you press and hold at the site, it will charge...but who wants to press and hold until the iPhone recharges. I hope the manufacturer can fix this problem. Until that’s done, it’s not worth buying

Bulky, but otherwise a great value for the price. Once fully charged, the charger can recharge my phone at least twice.Update - extremely fragile. I’ve broken about one of these per month. The charger plug-in broke off on the first one and the second just stopped working.

I purchased one of these and it lasted about 4 mos or so. Made it through an international trip. I was past the return date, but Amazon was helpful and I was able to get another one. I don't think it made it two weeks. My husband has tried to make it work and hasn't succeeded (his works just fine.) Due to holidays, I've again passed the return deadline. I'm trying a different brand. I'm in NorCal and with the crazy random power outages and then our frequent international travel, I don't need to have to think about whether the auxiliary phone charger will work or not!

My wife really loved this case for her iPhone 6s since she got it in mid-June. It worked perfectly for several months and then it just quit charging the phone. I tried a number of possible fixes, but to no avail. I wrote to customer service and got a very quick reply, and a replacement case was on its way to us pretty much right away...and it's working fine.I also have the same brand of case for my iPhone 6 Plus, and it's still working flawlessly.
