I had my doubts about ordering this item because neither the description nor the customer reviews described it adequately. I am so very pleased with the mirror that I am going to attempt to give a fuller description so other potential buyers can base their decisions on adequate information. 10X MIRROR: Measures exactly 7 inches in diameter across the mirror, which is beautifully framed in smooth, brushed nickel. Top quality 10x magnification that lets me really see my face. Great for applying mascara and using microdermabrasion. Great for my husband for shaving. 1X MIRROR: On the other side is an excellent 1x mirror that measures 7 2/3 inches in diameter. WEIGHT: Solid and heavy, over 2 pounds 12 ounces overall. The mirror's base measures just over 5 1/4 inches in diameter. It establishes a strong foundation so there is no worry that this pedestal mirror is going to fall over. Well-balanced and stable on the tabletop. HEIGHT: The pedestal itself is about 7 3/4 inches high and the mirror is attached to a half-circle of metal attached to the pedestal. The total height is just over 15 1/2 inches. It's a perfect height for my vanity table, putting the mirror at exactly the right height so I can see my entire face. OVERALL QUALITY: The brushed satin nickel of the base, pedestal, and mirror frame give this mirror a refined elegance that goes well with the satin nickel fixtures in our master bathroom. It's a great looking mirror that is much more attractive than the photo shows. The nickel does not have the dull gray look of the photo.

I bought this as a gift for my sister after seeing it being used at a Holiday gift store. I took a photo and did an image search and found it on Amazon. It is very pretty and a great product. I'm not sure if my sister will keep it or return it as she has had eye surgery and she seemed to have some issues using the magnification side. I tried it and for me, with no eye issues, I found it very nice to use and would like to buy myself one in the future. The mirror stand color is so pretty and would look lovely on any bathroom counter.

I had a lit magnifying mirror but the bulb broke and I scratched the silver/mirror paint installing the replacement which got worse as time went on. The cosy to replace was high so I went with this. It's lovely on my make up table and is true-I haven't noticed any warping in the mirrors. I just wish I could find a reasonably priced mirror exactly like this with a built in light. I use a small lamp when using the magnifying side so I work around it. B Other than just a wish of a person who doesn't want to break the bank on a SECOND mirror, this is about as perfect as you can get

I've had two of these over the years and I liked them. I had to order another because the other two looked pretty tacky. But this new one has such distortion on the magnification side it is difficult to find a small spot where you can see your mascara [or whatever] well. It is nice looking but not very serviceable.

Looks nice and is just the right size I needed. The 10x side is not great, seems like only a small portion of the view is clear and usable.

I have been through 3 purchases of vanity mirrors trying to find the right one and I finally found it. The first mirror I bought had a cord because it lit up and I hated it, the cord was always in the way and I never used the light on it anyways. The second one I bought was a cheapy at Ross because it's hard to find the bronze color sometimes and they happen to have one; unfortunately it was waaaaay too short. So then I bought this one. Love it! It is the perfect height, very tall, sturdy, has the the hard to find oil-rubbed bronze finish, and it has 10x magnification. All the things I was looking for. I did read a review that complained about the 10x magnified side being too warped to use but I use it just fine. I will say that the 10x side is very concave and it can be a little hard to view unless you are right up close to the mirror, it could have been a little less concave to expand the viewing range a little but I'm usually up close anyways so it doesn't bother me that much. A great mirror, I love it!

I purchased the 10 x 1 mirror for my wife. It met all my criteria of height, brass, rotating, mirror size etc. but even we found the 10x's magnification too high and difficult to use at the proper distance to focus. Maybe because we're older but we found it hard to use it the higher magnification. Not the fault of the product - we should have ordered one with 3-4 times magnification.
