Clic Magnetic Reading Glasses - Original (S-M) - Rigid Headband

I bought these for my mother 5 years ago, and she's hard on her glasses, and had lost or broken dozens of pairs. I didn't expect them to last, but it was a last ditch effort, and it was probably the best gift I'd ever given her, and I CARE about giving good gifts. They're so easy to wear, and the perfect balance between structured fit and flexibility, she's often slept with them on, and didn't notice. She hasn't lost them in all this time! They're tough enough that they've never broken, even being slept on, dropped, stepped on, worn in the shower by accident and gnawed by cats. The lenses haven't even been seriously scratched, and that's a miracle! I got them in red, for visibility, as I do often for her (the ADHD is strong in our family), and the color is still vibrant, and she gets lots of compliments about how amazing the concept is, and how nice they look, especially by medical professionals. The tiny inset barrel magnets are just strong enough to click securely together, but not so strong that pulling them apart is a struggle or a stress on the frame. You can see how easily the halves fold in the photos, and how thick and secure the magnets are. The only things I think you should carefully consider when you buy them is the size of your head, and the magnifying power you need, because you'll be wearing these FOREVER.

I was a little reluctant at first to buy these, since I can get other readers for a lot less online or at the store. However, I'm forever loosing my standard readers when I remove them. (Chains were too long and in my way, when I would store them on my head they would fog up from riding around on my overheating menopausal head, and into a pocket or on the table it was too easy for me to forget them.) Haven't lost my readers since I got these, I have found them to be solidly constructed so far. A little tight at first but they don't feel too narrow after a few wears. Also my 5 and 7 year old nephews are obsessed with them.

These are great pair of readers they just hang around your neck there's a magnet in the middle so you can take them off your face and just leave them around your neck and you won't lose them

I wish I would have invented these they are genius. Since my first pair I have bought 4 more pairs and have not lost or had any issues with any of them. I keep them around my neck and when I need them clic there they are.

These make getting older fun. I'm at the point where I need to wearing "readers" so I decided to get these because I like things that are quirky. The glasses have a magnetic latch in the center, at the bridge of the nose, which allows for the glasses to be "opened" and warn around the next when not needed. No more wasting time wondering where I put my glasses. They are light weight and I only really notice them on my neck when I tilt my head down and bump them with my chin. The frames are plastic which attaches to a small metal piece. The small metal pieces are inserted into the band and glued. On one side of mine, the metal came loose but doesn't come all the way out. This makes me think that there is a safety mechanism inside the tube to ensure they don't come apart. My husband's pair does not have this issue. The issue with his is that the tube that goes around the head is too small for his head. The strap is designed to ride up the back of your head from your neck when you put them on. For me, this is a challenge unless I wear my hair up. My hair is just past my shoulders and thick. If I pull straight up then my hair is poking out from being pushed up. If I put them over my hair then they are almost too tight. Since I often wear my hair up anyway it's not an issue. Overall I really like these. They are quirky and fun. I get a lot of comments on them, especially once people see how they work.

I have reached the age where I just need a little help reading. My regular prescription glasses are no help close up. Regular reading glasses arent't a good solution, because the last thing I need is something else to carry in my pockets, and then I have to figure out where to put my regular glasses without losing or damaging them. I could put regular reading glasses on a chain, and have a chain for my regular glasses, too, but who wants all those chains, and a pair of glasses bouncing and swinging around when I walk or lean forward? I tried bi-focal reading lenses, but just couldn't adjust to them -- half of my world was blurry all the time, which is worse than an occasional blurry page. So, these Clic glasses are a great alternative. When pulled apart and folded, they just ride right there around my neck -- they don't bounce and they don't fall off. When I need them, I just fold out the lenses, clic them together, and I can read! I also discovered that since the frames adjust for length, I can actually wear them OVER my regular glasses. I pop them on for a minute or two to read something, then pop them off, and they just hang there, waiting for me to need them next. Granted, wearing them over my regular glasses is probably a little funky looking, buy do you know what? I DON'T CARE! I never lose my regualar glasses, I can read conveniently and clearly, and to tell you the truth, I am secure enough in my humanity that looking a bit funky for a few minutes a day really doesn't bother me. Anyway, I highly recommend these glasses, and have. That's the other thing -- most people have never seen glasses like this, so they get a lot of comments. Positive comments. Several people at work have asked where they can get some. I tell them to go to Amazon.

My husband uses these glasses faithfully and he loves them. He has bought many pairs so that he has them everywhere! (But mostly because he loses them!) They are durable. The magnet works perfectly to click them together, he has old pairs that still work like the first day he got them! Every time he clicks them on at a restaurant or a cash register someone notices and it starts a conversation.
