this company has been a good one for me though the years. this is a new supplement for me. I have no ill effect thus far. it is not the type that I expect to "feel" a result. I can say easy to take and a good price. i Highly recommend.

I started taking this astaxathin supplement about a month ago. I only take it 1 time a day, in the morning. After taking it for a week, I noticed a change in my skin tone.My skin was somewhat discolored. But this has given me an even and beautiful skin tone. Plus it is an excellent antioxidant.I highly recommend!

Other similar astaxanthin products I have bought sometimes have a rancid odor, if you open the bottle and sniff. These have a good fresh smell, probably because of the natural tocopherols and rosemary that are added to help protect the product from oxidation. Another plus is the fact that NOW is just the distributor, and the pills are actually produced by the company producing the astaxanthin, and you can tell they are experts because they use veg capsules instead of gelatin capsules, and they chose to add the natural preservatives as I mentioned earlier.

They are small and no stomach troubles.

AS this supplement goes this is a small amount.But as I use this as a possible preventative for eye health, combines with some others, I think it serves the purpose. That said it is then a cost effective mode of getting benefit.If I was intending this as a thing to provide a specific effect, already with a existing condition i I would consider a higher dose.NOW is generally a quality manufacturer a trusted source.

I've been taking 12 mg Now Astaxanthin for about 5 years. This most dramatic thing I notice is that I can be out in the midday sun for hours and I don't burn. I'm a redhead and have always burned easily. I don't like using sun screen because I have heard they are not so healthy for a variety of reasons. Now I can work in the midday sun and not have even a hint of sunburn! When exposed for awhile in the sun, my skin turns bright orange like a lobster. As soon as I come in out of the sun, it quickly goes back to normal. And no burn. Very interesting! I don't know how long one has to take it or how much. Like I said, I've been taking 12 mg/day for about 5 years and I only recently noticed (this Summer) this fact. I don't normally work in the sun much but this Summer I have, and discovered this. I have heard others say it protects against sunburn but now I have confirmed this for myself.

I was searching for a product which did not use animal based capsules and did not have certain other included ingredients. This one fit very well.I bought it because I had read that astaxanthin helps DHA and EPA get into the brain, which results in improvement. I don't know if that claim was true, but I figured it would probably be helpful in other ways also, so would be worth trying. I also ran across research that astaxanthin restores basal levels of SHP-1 production, which is involved in helping control allergies, which I have, so I thought this product should be of help. So far I think it has not caused me any problems and I hope it is helping in the ways I wanted it to and which the research suggested it would do.
