Solid Mono and Plenty of Lead
Solid 5 footer with plenty of lead. Works great. Perfect for Inshore Paddleboard and Kayak fishing for small mullet and white bait and Pinfish

High quality
This is a great product. I might not be the best reviewer due to this being my very first casting net but I do enjoy attempting it. I will admit I do not get a full open net often but I believe that is just due to user error. This net is high quality and durable.

Decent net with real lead
Comes with real lead weights. It took me 4 days to figure out how to use it properly. I suggest watching Chris Souders on YouTube to learn. It's the easiest method where you don't get wet putting the net on your shoulder, or putting a part of the net in your teeth. This is an average net that works great! For the price it's good👌 Don't take it somewhere with a bunch of rocks and snags from the bank. You will ruin it the first cast. Soak it overnight in fabric softener to make it open more. It's all in the hips and a little bit of a spin with your non dominant hand. Practice practice practice! It takes time to learn. Don't blame the manufacturer if you haven't taken the time to learn. I would buy it again UPDATE: After using this for almost a year I finally ripped it. I bought another SS100L from Academy for $40, but I got a different item #. The net was a 6ft 3/8 mesh, but when I threw it I noticed it was much smaller than this one. I think this net is larger than 6ft, but now I wish I would have just bought this one again. This net was definitely worth the money and I will be buying another one.

Does Catch Fish
The most important element of a cast net is catching fish, in my case, baits, and this net delivers. On my first few casts after receiving the net for the first time, I caught about ten pounds of a combination of bass, mullets, and most important shads (which I use for catfish bait). The Fitec SS-100L cast net is a definite go!

Nice and fun
YouTube has very good video tutorials on the throwing/casting technique. I'm still learning. Having fun doing it too.

Best net for the money
The mono the actual netting is made of (this one is blue), is a lot stronger than other nets I’ve used. For the price, this is the best net available. The lead weights are wayyy better than the cheaper weights used by the super inexpensive nets available. All in all, great net for the money!

This net is complete garbage
I purchased this net for herring and compared to the previous nets I owned it has the following defects:1) the monofilament is very thin for such a large net. It rips at the slightest tangle on the bottom.2) the weaves are not flush with the surface and are very "sticky". It causes tangles during casting. After less than 5 cast there is already 3 big rips.

At age 73 I learned to throw a cast net.
Works as advertised.
