Taylor Pro Leave-in Meat Oven Safe Oval Analog Dial Meat Food Grill BBQ Kitchen Cooking Thermometer

I had one just like it for years and still would if my husband didn't pull the drawer out in the kitchen and crack the thermometer that was stuck pointed up in it. I am keeping this new one in the original packaging with some tape and in another dedicated drawer between uses.It works well. You can follow the red tip as it goes up to the temperature while the bottom of the thermometer points to different meats and poultry, so it lines up correctly for each type of meat and suggested temperatures. I use this in addition to my oven's meat probe that connects to the oven and monitors temperature, and this thermometer is very accurate. I like to move it around in different spots if roasting a large bird/turkey to make sure all is cooked.This is not a dinky little thermometer. It is a larger one, and it is the best one I have owned.2016 Update. Just used it for my Thanksgiving turkey. It still works. I handwash it. It looks and works great.

I wish this thermometer came with a cover for the probe. Otherwise, I have no complaints. It is easy to use and seems to be accurate.Update: Jan 2013 - Still works GREAT! We do not put in the sink so it cannot be exposed to excessive water. We hand wash the probe and it has worked like a charm for 3 years. It is reliable and still just as easy to use.

This works as advertised, but it is a little bulky. Unit can be difficult to insert into certain types of meat product. But it is accurate and that is what I was looking for!

Don't let it get wet, leaks and ruins it, mine filled with condensation. In addition the stem is not permanently fixed so as it rotates so does the pointer, then you don't know what the temp is. A little quality control would help

Well made with a large gauge. It's easy to read. Seems this one is pretty darn good and accurate. I recommend this one.

This product is advertised as a quality product made in America. This is not the case, it is manufactured in China like all of the other cheap thermometers that have fallen apart after a couple of uses.Misleading advertising, and product description.Do Not Buy!!

No way to test setting against a benchmark like boiling water. How can you guage it's accuracy?

Used it on a 12 pound prime rib and the rare reading for the center was right on as was the medium reading for the ends

Excellent quality product and easy to view the dial. The product was delivered on time.
