Best Building Bricks and LEGO men mold....
I recently made a LEGO cake for my nephew's birthday. These molds were the best set as most seem to only come with the mini Lego guys. The larger Lego guy is a fun accent. He is almost 4" tall. The mini ones are about 2" tall. I made chocolate bricks using colored Chocolate Candy which came out great ! I didn't have to oil the mold- I simply stuck it in the freezer for a couple of minutes. I also tried using fondant but when they dried, I found them to be way too heavy. I didn't use them on the cake as it was buttercream and I thought it would crush it. I had better results using it with thin pieces of fondant (just to get top layer) and laying those pieces directly onto the cake.I also made mini-men using fondant. Those came out great as well! I was reading you can also used chocolate but I didn't want the colors to bleed. Finally, this is nit-picking but I wish the holes of the bricks mold were larger and closer together. Most people won't notice but if you compare it side by side with a real LEGO brick, the proportions of the dots are slightly too small. Again, most people won't notice and the kids definitely won't care!If your kid loves LEGO, I would highly recommend this set. And let's not forget it's original intent - LEGO ice cubes-how cool is that? I would just do that before you use it for fondant and candy.

Good chocolate molds
Having never molded chocolate before I had no idea how to do it or what to expect. The first batch of bricks came out pretty well but the stud part was iffy. The second time I filled the little holes first, tapped the mold on the counter, then filled it the rest of the way. Much better! These make really big bricks. You don't realize it until you pop it out of the mold and know your kid is going to chow down on a giant piece of chocolate. Next time we won't fill the mold to the top.The mini figure mold was just as easy to use. Again, that's a gigantic figure you're molding, chocolate overload!

Great as a DIY soap mold for soaps!
I love these molds! You can use them for chocolate, ice, or other DIY projects. I used them to make DIY soap. I buy molds usually to make cool soaps for family and friends instead of baking or ice purposes. This is so much fun and the soaps come out looking very cool. You can buy the supplies to make soaps at a local craft store. The lego bricks and lego robots go perfect together. Also a great theme for young kids who love legos. I use lego soap to teach my toddler about hand-washing and make it fun at the same time.

Close to actual size, needs more spots and better venting
The mold has held up pretty well so far. We've been using it pretty heavily for our fundraiser making crayons. I doesn't heat up very evenly like our other molds, but the bricks and min fig mini molds are true to size with real Legos. My only complaint is the spaces are too far apart to fill them easily on the min fig tray and without a sprue vent they tend to get air bubbles trapped in the feet or faces. Perhaps put more per mold too.

Lego type candy molds
These are terrific for making candy Lego-type blocks and people. I just bought some colored candy melts at the craft store, melted them in the microwave and poured the into these molds. Stick them in the freezer for 5 minutes or so and then pop them out of the molds. Easy! I used a spoon to add different colors to the people molds so their heads and hands were yellow, etc. I couldn't get the colors in their areas perfectly but it still looked really good when they were done. Kids loved them! Also made ice cubes with these. Used juice to make different colors.

Fun and cool
Make sure if you are making crayons you use Crayola. Mine with an of brand turned out very oily and odd textured. If you make chocolates, cool in refrigerator before trying to remove or it might break. But it is a fun and cool mold.

Great for chocolate molds!
The product was great, exactly as described! I used it for chocolate molds and they turned out perfect. The only downside was that the blocks were a bit larger than I had hoped. Other than that, great product.

Good investment
These worked great to make chocolates! The bricks are actually quite large so I cut them in half after making them. Make sure you tap your mold for a long time to get the air bubbles out and candy to fill all of the 'bumps' of the Lego brick. The minifigure molds were easy to use, too. I plan to make soaps with them next time!
