The first 2 pages display a bobbing Trapdoor Spider in front of a standup web while 2 smaller right handed pop-up flaps, when pulled open reveal stand up 3D 8 legged spiders, one a large Tarantula the other a smaller Black Widow! Each smaller open page gives info on the creaturesThe BALD EAGLE pages have a handsome Bald Eagle flying above pop-up waves and about to catch a fish springing out of the book! Pull the eagle's legs down and the ends of his wings flap up and down! Also a left corner pop-up shows the eagle wingspan while a right pop-up displays an eagle nest with a mother eagle and young! On the CROCADILE pages the vicious Crocadile has a tiny Plover bird pecking out paracites out of it's teeth in it's 3D pop-up jaws!The right side pop-up display's the differance in the head shape of a crocadile and an alligator while the jaws open and close!The pop-up tiger on the next pages you need to set up to work. First you lift the flat down tiger piece up out of the flap slit then pull open the back flaps from the back and then slide the tab on the right back piece into the slot on the flat pages and fit the left rectangular tab into the right space to make the stand up triangular tiger piece stand up! The 3D tiger head looks then right at you with the bobbing up and down action!And on the last pages are the polar bears with a 3D pop-up ice floe with baby polar bears standing around the ice hole while mama bear rears up out of her cave in pop-up 3D! A pop-up 3D den and a 3D globe complete the scene! Like the WILD OCEANS book there is lovely transparent watercolour like detail! Lots of informative details. Very well constructed. My wife and I just had to "play" with the book first before showing it to my 17 month old baby. Might not be for her at this time. There are some parts of the book that she can easily pull out. Nevertheless, the construction was not flimsy. Worth the price. I like the spider & the polar bear. They're my favorite. But all of the pages are worth every penny.I'm just disappointed with the state of the book. The packaging was clearly acceptable. I can say it was well protected. But when I opened the book, there are several small damages that were obvious. It looked like a very well maintained second-hand book. That's the only thing that made me unhappy. I will try to upload a pic when I get time.Will I buy from this vendor again? If I have no choice, probably yes. That is how amazing this book is for me. I think I'll get a couple of these again as gifts.
