Fantastic in Every Way....But the App.
In terms of sound and design, this is an absolutely phenomenal bit of kit. I saw another reviewer criticise it, which baffles me, it sounds brilliant. Unlike some other systems, it performs well even at lower volumes, which is great when you’ve got a little one whose ears need protecting. You do need to factor in that it’s a single physical unit, so in very large rooms it might not deliver the same impact. But if, like us, you’re space-limited and want something with amazing sound in a sleek, beautifully designed package, this hits all the right notes… except for one. And that one thing costs it a star, the dreadful app! I nearly gave up and considered sending it back because I couldn’t complete the setup. The first issue was due to hardwiring the device into my Wi-Fi access point. Despite being on the same network, the app wouldn’t detect the system. I could see the device in my Wi-Fi configuration, so I was baffled. Once I unplugged the Ethernet cable and configured it as a Wi-Fi device, it found it immediately, didn’t make sense, but it worked. The second issue, which almost had me give up entirely, was the setup loop. After finding the device and going through the setup wizard, it would reach the end, briefly show the Mu-So on the app’s main page, then restart the wizard as if nothing was configured. Round and round it went, with no way out. The solution, it turned out, was to kill the Naim app. On Android, that means going into the application settings and force-stopping it. When I reloaded the app, the Mu-So appeared on the main page, fully set up. Since then, it’s been fine, and I was even able to hardwire it again without issue. The baffling thing is that the build and design of the unit are flawless and the sound from it is detailed, balanced and makes everything sound incredible, yet with all that meticulous attention to detail given to the device and sound, they fail to deliver the same when it comes to the Naim app. It's like designing and building the perfect super car, but giving it kwik-fit own brand budget tires to drive on. Come on Naim, sort out that dreadful app! The reason it has 4 stars, despite that horrendous setup experience, is that now it is setup, it has been flawless to use and we're now listening to far more music as a family. We mostly stream to it over the inbuild chromecast, and it works great, though I'm very tempted to buy a quality turntable to connect up to it, got a lot of vinyl gathering dust.

Have it
The material quality is absolutely very good. The back part is made of steel grilles, and the front side has a velvety protective case in front of the speakers. On the top there is the main control mechanism and a great lighting system. 11 kg of metal case is so good. It is very useful with Spotify, Qobuz and Tidal integration. USB-ports HDMI inputs Naim radio. But the main element is sound quality. As someone who uses Hi-Fi systems like Sonos Faber, Focal, BW Dynaudia etc Naim Mu So 2 is somtop quality compact unit I highly recommend this unique compact device

MY GOD IT'S BAD
I purchased this from a dealer in Dublin and they were fantastic. That is more than I can say for the product. The app is woefully bad and before you ask, I am using the latest firmware and I am very technically competent. A real shame because I can't argue with the aesthetics of the product. It looks great, has a good hefty weight to it and is beautifully packaged. The good points stop there. The app gets locked into a channel and you can't easily switch from Bluetooth to HDMI to stream. It gets locked to bluetooth but simply states that no device is connected. There is a work around - you have to disconnect from mains power - wait - and reconnect. This will allow you to start again and at least play some music but, when you try and connect to Alexa, via Bluetooth, and then switch back to streaming - it gets locked again. Sound quality - it's loud, very loud but......it lacks deep bass and any real sense of surround or depth. It has a very different sound to a BOSE. You may think that a good thing but I prefer the feel of immersive music. If you want to just play loud with minimal emphasis on quality - go ahead - blow more than a grand on this puppy. I purchased this for the reputation that Naim have, their focus on audio excellence but they have missed a beat here and the product needs re-development from a software perspective in my opinion. I have also listened to the Devialet Phantom 900 and this is worlds better than the Naim unit. If you consider yourself an audiophile and know the difference between good and poor quality Audio - this will disappoint. If however, you just want something to look cool in the living room and belt out loud stuff then this is for you - if you can get it to connect. Naim - poor show.

Can’t connect to TV
I bought this thinking it would double as a Bluetooth speaker and TV sound bar. Naim claims it can connect using HDMI ARC. It does not and there is plenty of other examples of customers on the Naim forum with the same problem. Naim blames TV manufacturers but they should not promote this as a capability when they know it has issues. The sound quality when connecting via Bluetooth is ok, but nothing special for the cost of the speaker.

Naim that sound
Used as sound bar and multi room. HDMI arc have experienced no issues, musso turn on and off with TV and multi room listing via WiFi from main hi-fi system no problems. My son connect it with his phone via Bluetooth playing his music. Sound quality is very good reminds me of my old NAD amplifier marantz turntable from the late 80s. Touch of warmth richness to the music playback. TV audio Voices very clear, sound effects do their job and soundtracks very exciting. For the size of the musso it is amazing of what it is capable of achieving. Is there better? Of course there is! If you want to have loads of speakers a dedicated AV receiver and cables all over the place. Or spend way over the amount of the price of the musso! Linn B&W ect. The price of the musso can get you a reasonable budget separate hi-fi system but that requires dedicated space and more cables etc. The musso is basically a very capable sounding budget separate hi-fi system but in one box. Naim app is easy to navigate and have received many updates. Musso looks awesome and makes the music very engaging to listen too. Price will turn people away unfortunately but if a dealership will let you try one out give it a go. It is well built and definitely looks the money but we all have different tastes. What looks sounds great to one person can sound look different to someone else. I personally have no regrets of purchasing musso 2 liked it so much have other musso's around the house. It replaced my Yamaha AV receiver and quad L series speakers due to space issues. No not upgraded but neither downgraded the sound. Yamaha AV receiver purchased in 2003 for £587 quad L series speakers £1400 L11 pair front L12 pair rear L center L subwoofer.

Tolles all in one System

Fantastico strimer all in one dalle ottime prestazioni.
