4 Basswood Carving Blocks

These wood-blocks were JUST as described! They arrived in good shape - All ready to use to create items of beauty!The wood is pleasantly soft and, as a result, easy to carve. At the same time, the blocks are of a good shape and size, which makes them comfortable to hold.Buy some soon! You'll be happy that you did :)

I use the wood to carve and shape solid models of aircraft and and more. basswood was recommended by the U S Navy in 1943 for school boys to make identification models for the armed services during WW II.

Pretty rough looking when it arrived, but don’t let that throw you off. Nice and smooth inside for good carving.

Clear grain, promptly delivered, perfect for what I was looking to do, which is carving figurines.

Wood is not good , won’t be buying it again , we spent 18.00 on it and it’s not at all what we expected,
