Good product at a fair price
Works excellently with my Balance 20 router. Control/configuration can be from the router which makes use quite easy. I have not tried "InControl2" because of the cost but I don't think it is necessary. Peplink/Pepwave products typically "just work" and are super alternatives to the DLink/Asus/Cisco/Meracki/Netgear/Linksys/Ubiquity crap of the world. Functional, documented, bullet-proof, fairly easy to configure -- and they keep on ticking ... tick ... tick ... tick ... Update after several months of use: I still like it and we are going to buy more.

Works PERFECT!! If you need an an Access Point for a Peplink router, this is a great option!
Works perfectly, setup with my Peplink router was super simple. Which it was WiFi 6 like my router, but I've never had any problems with speed or performance inside my van, the Wifi 6 B One 5G router is connected to the outside roof antenna so outside range and performance is fantastic. They make a fantastic pair for seamless wifi in or out of my windowless van that blocks signals all too effectively, which is why this combo was so needed and it's entirely solve that problem! Granted I got this thing on sale at a really great price. It's standard price at $180 is a bit high for Wifi 5, but Peplink's Wifi 6 Access Points are VERY expensive! Like $300! But the performance is still great and the seamless setup and use with a Peplink router makes it worth even it's full price and a nice choice to have if you don't need, or can get by without Wifi 6 and most people will find Wifi 5 just fine.

Solid Little Performer
I'm an independent IT consultant and Peplink engineer. This device is easy configure as a stand alone unit but really shines when added to a Peplink router. The Control2 web based management is a nice bonus. Perfect for SMBs and home office applications. Small footprint. Comes with AC adapter but can be used with PoE switch.

Intermittently drops connection
Works fine unless connected to the balance 20. Loses connection when plugged into the balance router.

Works as advertised
I added it to the AP managed by an HD2 that runs the wifi segment of my home network. Synced right up and extended much needed additional coverage upstairs. My only complaint is that the units do run a bit hot. Peplink products overall have proven to be fairly solid when used for what they are rated for.

this works fine, of te reviewer that said it did not ...
this works fine, of te reviewer that said it did not 1gb network, mine does and works fine at 1000bps. range is not great but not bad for no external antennas. Lots of settings all the basics and then some. Works great with my Peplink router and the AP management tool within the router.

I already have one and I needed another so I didn’t hesitate to purchase another one.

Poor signal, support doesn't exist (see full review), doesn't do what the tin says, stay away!
I will be straight to the point here. I am an IT engineer and this has to be the worst AP I have ever encountered. This unit is touted as "World's Smallest 802.11ac Access Point" according to Peplink. I vote it to be the worlds worst 802.11ac access point. This unit can be used standalone like the majority of many wireless access points and wireless routers out there or with any one of Peplink's many devices that can have management capabilities over it. So this is not an excuse for why it is of such poor quality. About 5 minutes after I had it configured and running I was sadly disappointed by the signal strength on both the 2G and 5G bands. Not only was the signal less than optimal at only 50 to 100 foot distance with clear line of sight but the connection would intermittently lose packets consistently (fancy term for not sending all of the information through consistently). I poked around a bit in the web interface and noticed that the drop-down box where you could select the DUPLEX of the ethernet interface did not have a selection for 1000Mbps as it should have according to the fact that Peplink documentation notes that it has a 10/100/1000Mbps port. For giggles I checked my network switch to see exactly what I was linked at, the switch showed 100Mbps. Before any of you more knowledgeable individuals reading this review ask me questions or post comments I will tell you that I was using a Gigabit POE and my switch is also Gigabit, tried both CAT5e and CAT6 cabling to rule out cable quality issues, as well as 50 foot cable length and a 3ft cable length. The link should have read 1000Mbps on the switch port and the Pepwave web interface should have had a 1000Mps selection for link speed/duplex but it simply didn't. To be clear it is a drop box in the web interface for selecting what link speed and duplex you want to set the ethernet port of the access point at, not an indicator of the current link speed/duplex. The version of the firmware matches the version listed on the manufacturers website. I thought to myself this is just another P.O.S. product that doesn't do what it is supposed to do. I will need to return it now. But wait, I'm tired of things not working the way they are supposed to work, I will call the manufacturer in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Got the phone #, good. Called. Listened to some hold music. "Nobody is available to take your call at this time. Please call back during normal business hours." Pathetic! I then searched for a special phone number for enterprise customers, called it, same thing. Even more pathetic! In summary, I would have smashed it if I didn't want my money back. Packed it back up and back to Amazon it went. This is truly sad.

I purchased 6 of these PepLink Access Points from the Amazon vendor, Prime Electronics Canada. The shipping was fast and the Vendor Prime Electronics Canada followed up very quickly with PepLink to address an issue I had. This experience was a positive one. All 6 of these devices integrate great with my PepLink Balance 210 Router and the warranty/license integrates easily with the Incontrol2 cloud management system. I really like these AP’s for ease of use and their range.
