We’ve had a terrible fly problem this year in Texas. The flies made sitting outside unbearable. I tried the hanging stinky bags and it sorta worked but almost seemed to make it worse, and they smell so bad. My wife saw this on a video and we went to the local feed store to find some but they were out. I ordered this online but shipping was delayed (I can only imagine the demand for it) so I bought a similar product from the same brand, which also worked amazing and continue to work. Anyways, I finally got this in the mail and I just opened the canister and the flies went right to it and died within seconds. I placed a small pile in little containers around my patio out of reach of the dogs (it’ll kill animals too), washed my hands real well, and let it get to work. To be honest, I wasn’t immediately impressed. It killed a few flies, but it just wasn’t making an impact. I came back a couple hours later and there were noticeably fewer flies, but still enough to drive me crazy. I poured some Coke in the trays over the poison. It melted some of the pellets but mostly it just turned into a mess. Well, flies like messes I guess. Admittedly, I do have a combo of the original fly bate poison things (they kinda look like yellow sticky paper with a red plastic mesh, but it’s not sticky, just poison) and this product. But I’m happy to report that our fly problem is 98-99% solved and it’s totally tolerable now. I will forever have some of this on hand for summers. It’s a lifesaver.

I had a terrible problem with drain flies, not houseflies. While this product may attract houseflies, it definitely does not attract the drain flies (and "plant based" oil sprays that say they kill flies absolutely does not work for drain flies). I found a good solution for this is to take of plastic jug of milk that is nearly empty with only small amount of milk left in it (1/4 of an inch). Add about 12 tablets to the jug and slosh it around. As the milk begins to sour in 1 or 2 days, the sour odor will attrack the flies to the poisoned coagulated milk. This greatly reduced my drain fly problem.

Newer stuff does not seem to be as good as it used to be.

This stuff is great, they taste it and boom nervous system goes crazy and then legs up. No odor, the granules are small and can be sprinkled where they are and boom gone in about 10 mins.

This is like something I've never experienced for killing flies. I put some in a bowl and just sprinkled a few cracker crumbs in with it and before I knew it that bowl was covered in dead flies. I watched and was surprised when I saw what was happening because they didn't even have to eat any crumbs of crackers. Once they went into the bowl they started dying as soon as they touched the Quikstrick. Man it was amazing 👏

I tried to lay the product on the ground near an area where flies would land often. However, I noticed that it was not enough for flies to land on the blue granules. After placing the granules inside a bowl with a piece of salami more, flies were dying. Additionally, I noticed that some flies would not die inside the bowl but would die near the bowl with Quickstrike. Overall it is easy to use, but you really do need to put the bait. I had read reviews that suggested this and others that did not, so I tried both methods and found that some type of bait(preferably meat like salami, ham, etc.) is needed. In terms of value for money, yes, it works, but I think 1lb is too little for $25.24, so I find myself being selective when I want to use this product because I do not want to use too much too fast. I did not really notice a scent, but this could because I placed the bowl with quickstrike outside.
