Blumhouse (Split, Get Out, Whiplash) produces this original and inventive rewinding thriller in which a blissfully self-centered co-ed (Jessica Rothe, La La Land) is doomed to relive the day of her murder unless she can identify her masked assailant and hopefully stop the madness. If she can't, she will be stuck in an insane loop, reliving a ghoulish nightmare that has become her death day.

Fantastic !
I love the story ! It's her Birthday, it her Mom's the same day, it's and in a loop, crazy!Tree (her real name is Theresa) she wakes up in Carter's dorm. The same day and again and again and she keeps dying again , her killer wears a baby mask, University sports day.She wakes up in Carter dorm, he tells Tree his name but again and again every time when she was murdered he does not remember. She has no clue who the murderer is!Tree looked at herself , not happy with her behaviour, her Mom her passed away 3 years ago, she told Carter her Mom would be ashamed of her.I don't want to be the spoilers at the end but it's worth to watch , murder, quirky and funny!

Quite entertaining
Since Groundhog day there were several attempts to make a good "same day is repeating" movie with more or less success. I found this one entertaining. A bit of thrill a bit of comedy a bit of murder mystery where the main character tries to solve her own death. I enjoyed it.

Happy Death Day
This film is directed by the same director as the Purge. It is a black comedy/horror film and is set in an American High School and centre’s around the death of one of the student’s who then has to relive the event until she sorts out what happened to her. Along the way she starts to look at herself and begins to change and finds her self. It has a lot of Groundhog Day about it which it actually name checks in the film. This is more of a black comedy rather than a horror film but it is quite watchable, but if you prefer your horror dark then it is probably not for you. I enjoyed it and would recommend but the reliving the same day routine can be a bit annoying. It has the odd twist which elevates it enough to get past this though. So takes your brains out and enjoy.

Better than I expected
First time I saw this I laughed and laughed it was a great movie with some good twists and the acting wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be from this type of film a good film worth watching

Entertaining
Slasher movie meets groundhog Day. It's hardly the best when you read into the plot and the plot holes, but yet it never bored me repeating the day many times, and what charmed me was the main characters expressions and reactions to the more fun events of the movie that had you smiling too (especially the extra special campus walk). Horror wise it's poor, especially knowing that despite a potential limit on the amount of ressurections, ultimately she can't really fear death the same way others would. Having said that, it works well comedy wise (even when she's not barbed herself, the people she has surrounded herself with are funnily petty) and it's a much better watch than the recent copycar called totally killer
