Works great for acrylic tubes
I bought this to cut acrylic pipe after cracking it trying to cut it with other methods. I wasn’t sure at first but this was exactly what I needed. I bought this to cut the acrylic pipe for my ghostbusters inner cyclotron tubing on my Q pack. (The size I used was 14od and 12id.) The key is to wrap the acrylic piece in blue tape where you are going to cut it. The cuts are clean and come out pretty great. The blade is sharp and cuts nicely. I wouldn’t say that this setup is 100% perfectly straight cuts every time. Sometimes the edges aren’t perfectly straight But for the price it got the job done. I was able to sand the bottoms to get them straight enough. When you are cutting let the blade do the work. Don’t force the blade down too much. The only issue I had was i accidentally cut through the block. But that’s probably because of the way I was cutting. Overall this thing worked great.

Excel 6 in. saw with mitre box
Very nice little saw, very sharp. The handle is a standard #5 handle, so you can use it with different blades. I wish the mitre box was a little deeper.

Very small, but also very precise. Buy two sets to support parts longer than a few inches.
This is a miter box set for crafts. The miter box is only 5.5 inches long, and maximum height of an object that you can cut using slits in the sidewall as guides is a little under 20 mm. I used it to cut 20 mm x 20 mm aluminum profiles which are main component of ceiling mounted curtain rails. The saw cut them very easily (but it is quite thin aluminum, of course). I could not see how I could align a meter long rail with the walls of this tiny miter box and keep it steady while cutting. So I ended up buying two miter boxes and clamped them some distance apart in order to create a stronger support from a pair of miter boxes. This worked wonderfully. I got precise, very clean cuts which I do not think I would get from a regular miter and a standard hack saw. Now I have a spare blade and a spare handle as well, from the second set :)

Excel Blades 6-Inch Metal Mitre Box Set
Intending to make small picture frames, this is an ideal tool combination. The Miter Box for cutting accurate corners and the deep-blade Excel saw. I've used Excel saws for at least 20 years and have come to depend on them for their ability to cut clean in a variety of materials, although I draw the line before metals (use hacksaw instead) these saws are great for wood, plastic, and even lighter materials like foam because there's no jagged edge. Even the old blades will continue to work, just taking a little longer, and the occasional bent blade can be straightened to keep working. The problem is with their small size and their ability to hide, so it's a good thing to have them all in one toolbox.

Good for small thing
It’s tiny but seems made of good material. The blade is fairly sharp and the handle is comfortable enough. My issue is that it’s so small it’s difficult to hold onto. I’m returning because it did have issues cutting through a 3/4” dowel which is why I bought it. For smaller items, I think it would be great.

This saw doesn't pair with this miter box
I bought this to cut some thin pieces of wood at 45 degrees to make a frame. The slots intended for the saw are too wide to maintain a consistent 45 degree cut. The razor saw is very sharp and can make clean cut but doesn't pair well with the miter box at all.
